Slapshot League Sign-Ups

We're very excited to announce that we will be getting the process to start the Official Slapshot Leagues underway. The first prospect tournament will be hosted on Saturday, April 6th at 5pm EDT. The full details on the Official Leagues will be below, along with a sign-up to the first prospect tournament. Notice that we said this will be the FIRST prospect tournament, as there will be multiple if you cannot attend this one.

There will also be a separate sign-up that we would like people to fill out that we will be giving the GMs access to so that they may contact you with any questions/concerns, or to simply set up a try out.

Slapshot 1.02 Release Notes

It was a busy week, and there are plenty more bugs to fix, but I'm getting to them one at a time. Thanks for your patience while the game becomes more stable!

I'm happy with the community that we have thus far, and I'm finally getting to the position where I can work on new features rather than worrying about servers all the time.

Another thing to note: "Full Version" has now been renamed "Slappy Pass" since there were many many people misunderstanding what the full version was. Nothing has changed about this other than the name.

New Features
  • Lefty stick
  • AWS server scheduler
  • Continuous server builds - Faster releases!
  • Players no longer placed in ending game (
  • FAQ
  • Prettier dev notification

Bug Fixes
  • Group leader stuck on waiting while friends join
  • Group members left behind while starting game
  • Hair not covering top of head
  • Games played showing NaN
  • Windows 32 Bit not working
  • Practice mode not working when servers offline
  • Game servers crashing due to native socket error
  • Level not updated in scoreboard
  • Stuck in end-game screen after server restarts

Some major tasks that I will be focusing on this week are making matchmaking a bit better so users can't leave without punishment, the hopeful end of the 4v3 bug, and a better experience for streamers. There is also a nasty bug that's infecting some users where they aren't able to play for more than a minute online.
