[New build - DEFAULT] 21w50b: Hotfixes

Hotfixes build.

New Features and improvements:
  • Physics Engine: the integration method has been reversed back as it was causing some sinking issues on low FPS.
  • Tutorial: the basic training will now reset the Min and Max grid size in case a player update those inadvertently.


Hotfixes:
  • In-game issues when accessing the Option / Game menu
  • Some tutorial message were not being displayed correctly
  • Quit to title cause some graphic glitches
  • Quit to title does not properly clear previous HUD missions objectives

[New build - DEFAULT] 21w50a: Space Police Patrols

Space Police patrol ships have been added! They will enforce the Safe Zone around stations.
There are two small patrol ships for now but more will be added soon - thanks to the builder Popka Akula and 5URG3!
Some quality of life improvements to the blueprint loading experience have also been added.

New Features and Improvements:
  • Space Police: Space Police ships are now patrolling around the stations
  • Space Police: If a ship breaks the safe zone rules Space Police patrol ships will warn then strike back
  • Space Police: Station Safe zone HUD element will reflect the player current hostile status
  • NPC: Various improvements have been made to the NPCs hostile behavior
  • Game Performance: Garbage Collection greatly reduced in idle and during tutorial phase: it means that small hiccups have been reduced
  • Blueprint Load: filter added
  • Blueprint Load: Can now filter on Workshop or Local blueprints
  • Blueprint Load: A new Blueprint Preview side window has been added: it shows a larger picture and some info on the blueprint
  • (you will need to re-export your blueprint to see those info)
  • Physics engine: depenetration logic was updated. This fixes the twitchy handheld drop
  • Physics engine: smarter collision sfx
  • World Generation: Less stations are being generated on startup, leading to faster load time
  • Tutorial: various improvements

Another big hotfixes build with a few physics engine improvements! Handheld have been fixed.

Improvements:
  • Physics engine: rigidbody will get to sleep much faster (this will reduce the jitter when placing bricks on grounded ship)
  • Physics engine: warm start is added which will allows complex equilibred situation get to rest much faster
  • Physics engine: more tweak where added to reduce jitter.

[New build - DEFAULT] 21w48a: Event Gate Hotkey Improvements

The way Event Gates work when linked to a Yoke (like the old "Hotkey gate") has been improved.
This will allow a more versatile approach to fire weapon systems allowing for smoother integration of upcoming gameplay elements (repair, mining, scavenging).

  • It is now possible to use hotkey 1-9 as Fire group:
  • You will still use Main Fire or Secondary Fire to shoot but can choose which weapon group will be active by toggling them on/off with their respective hotkey.
  • It is possible to set a Fire Group to be exclusive (ie it will toggle off all other groups when activated)
  • It is still possible to fire a weapon with hotkey 1-9.
  • New HUD elements have been added for each hotkey (can be toggled off).
  • HUD element display name can be customized.
  • HUD elements can be hiden or their display order can be tweaked


Other changes:
A safe zone of 4km around stations was implemented. Pirates and auto-fire turrets wont attack inside the safe zone.

  • #4276 #4288 Surface heat computation has been reversed to the old (wrong) way to ensure blueprint compatibility
