Aim Lab Update 0.94.7 - The Search Update

Search is here! Gone are the days of spending half of your training in menus or struggling to find that one task - Now, with the new search functionality, you can access any of the 10,000+ Tasks, Playlists and Scenarios right from the main menu!
Search
Many of you have been asking for us to cut down on the amount of menus you need to travel through to get to where you want to be - So we decided to cut out the middleman entirely!

The new "Search" functionality will allow you to search for any task, playlist or Scenario directly from the home screen - That means no downtime, no waiting, and no fuss! This feature will be available for all players with 0.94.7 - All you need to do is type the name, or any part of the name of a task, playlist or scenario in the new search bar and click to play!

You can also quickly tap CTRL + F in any menu or at the end of a task to open the search bar anywhere!
Kill and Spawn sounds
Alongside Hit sounds, you can now set a custom "Spawn" and "Kill" sound for all tasks! To set your new Spawn and Kill sounds, go to settings -> Audio and toggle them on, then set the sound up however you like and hit save - It's just that easy!

But what are new sound options without new sounds to go with them? Well, no worries - This update brings a whole host of new sounds pre-loaded into Aim Lab for your customisation needs! No longer are you stuck with the clanky sounds of the default metal hitsounds!
Tracking Tasks Update
Many of you have been enjoying the recently created tracking tasks - Reactivetrack, Startrack, etc. Well, we wanted to make sure you had the most bang for your buck when it comes to training - All five new tracking tasks now have a Speed and Precision variant! That means you can now play Arctrack, Startrack, Reactivetrack, Spheretrack and Spheretrack90 in Ultimate, Speed or Precision modes - Along with their own leaderboards!
New Visual Settings
You’ll find some new options in the “Visuals” settings this update - Namely a new Shadows option and a new Override option for workshop tasks

The new “Shadows” setting will give you the ability to enable or disable shadows globally, and the new Override setting will allow you to override a creators colour settings to ensure that a task is perfectly suited to your preferences!

Along with this, you will also find some new skyboxes and skybox settings - From the beautiful new Galaxy skies to a solid colour skybox for those desiring simplicity, the new settings have something for everyone!

And for creators - These new skyboxes are immediately supported within Creator Studio tasks, so you will be able to select from any of the new skyboxes for your own creations!
What’s new in 94.6?
Our focus this week is on Quality of Life changes, and cutting down on the number of clicks you need to take to get to where you want to be. Starting with ;

Settings Menu Overhaul
The Settings menu has been completely overhauled in tasks with the new “Live Preview” system!

This means that as you make changes to your FOV, your targets, your crosshair - Anything, you’ll be able to see the changes you are making live! This should make tweaking your settings and visuals much, much easier, and should eliminate needing to drop out of the menu to preview your settings.

Alongside this, we have added a new tab to the settings menu - “Visuals”

This new section will allow you to adjust the color, lighting, textures and everything else about how your map looks - Both in Aim Lab core tasks and Creator Studio tasks!

Custom Import/Export

This update brings a new “Import/Export” option to the Custom section! For Creators and Coaches, this means you can create resources for individual players to share privately, rather than needing to go through the workshop and uploading your creations publicly.

For players - This means much easier sharing of content with your friends, and should allow you to much more easily compete against each other directly!

What's new in AimLab 0.94.5

A big one for creators this week - Update 94.5 brings many long-requested additions to the Creator Studio, as well as something for the enthusiasts among you - A Sensitivity Randomizer built right into Aim Lab!

Sensitivity Randomizer

Those of you that have explored the wider aim training community have likely run across a Sensitivity Randomizer before - Most likely the amazing tool built by community members Whisperrr and El-Bad. These randomizers aim to help keep you engaged with your training, on top of expanding your mechanical abilities by constantly modulating the specific muscle groups you are using for your training.

Many of you have requested this kind of tool in Aim Lab core - And we’ve been listening.

You can now enable and customize our built in sensitivity randomizer directly from within Aim Lab! Accessing it is as simple as going to your Controls menu and toggling it on or off!

We’d love to hear any and all feedback or feature requests that you have relating to this new tool - And we’re excited to hear how it has impacted your training!

Crosshair Overhaul

The way that Aim Lab handles your crosshairs has now been completely overhauled - With both the system for importing crosshairs and the crosshair customizer receiving changes!

The Crosshair customizer now uses pixels instead of arbitrary units - This means that when you set your crosshair to be one pixel thick, it’s actually one pixel thick!

This system should feel a lot closer to the systems that you are used to from titles like VALORANT - And we hope that it solves some of the issues of the previous system

As always, we eagerly anticipate your feedback on this new system!

Creator Studio Updates

First of all, we wanted to thank each and every one of our creators for the amazing feedback that they have been providing us over the last few months - Just this week we reached over 1,500 unique Creator Studio maps uploaded to the workshop, and the rate of new maps coming onto the workshop has been increasing non stop since release! From the bottom of our heart - Thank you to our creators!

We wanted to take some time over these next few updates to address many of the requests that you have put forward - Starting this week with some changes and improvements to bots.

This update will not affect existing bots - But will give creators many more options for customizing new, or updating old scenarios!

Bot Behavior Updates:

RotateBy - Added an option to adjust the rotation axis in all three Axis

Forward/Back - Added an option to force an initial spawn direction

Strafer - Added an option to force an initial spawn direction

Time Based Scaler - A new behavior that will allow you to increase the size of targets over time, a must have for pressure modes!

Spawner Bot Limits - A new option to allow you to set a bot limit per-spawner, rather than across the entire level

Lifetime Despawn - Added an option to set a score penalty on Despawn

Fireball Shooter - Added an option to disable the “Explosion” from projectiles

Trackable - Made behavior compatible with Health Regeneration

LookAt - Added an option to disable bot tilting on the Y Axis

Graybox colors - Fixed an issue that caused some levels to need to be restarted to reflect changes to graybox colors

Adaptive Behaviors - New Adaptive Scaler, Movement and Lifetime behaviors have been added to the Creator Studio as spawner modifiers - These will allow you to create tasks that adapt to the players skill level extremely easily, and allow factors like bot size to persist after respawn.

Along with these changes, Bot Switching has been completely reworked!
You will now be able to set both a “To” and “From” bot for defined sequences, as well as being able to switch from any bot without issue!

Along with this, a new “On Total Bot Kills” and “Random” switch condition has been added to the Bot Switch Modifier. We look forward to seeing what our creators are able to do with this!

And lastly - Something for fans of building, a new set of objects has been added for those looking to train in a familiar environment!

These new objects can be found in “Buildings and Structures” under the new “Forts” category.

We look forward to bringing more power to our creators next update - Where we will focus on advanced bot functionality!

As always - We thank you all for your support, and we eagerly await your feedback!
See you next week for the $50,000 Aim Lab Skills Challenge!
0.94.4 Aim Lab x Siege Combine Event

We have some awesome news today! We are now the Official Player Development Platform for Rainbow Six Esports! 🔨 This means more custom R6 tasks, maps, in-game physics & our very own exclusive skin inside of Siege!! To celebrate this partnership, starting today, we've launched a new Rainbow Six Combine event too!! Woop woop!

The Rainbow Six Siege combine will run from June 16th to June 30th & includes 6 Siege tasks, prizes & your very own player card! We are introducing 2 brand new tasks as well as updated versions of 4 existing Siege tasks in Aim Lab. These include:

Lean Peek 3 Shot

This task works on a few skills at once - Your ability to react to a target after leaning, your ability to get on target quickly, and your ability to counteract recoil to land consecutive shots on target. This task is a must-play for any competitive Siege players.

Siege Graybox Scanning

This task prioritizes three skills - reactivity, speed and self preservation.

Targets will spawn on one of two sides - your goal is to peek at these targets and take them out as cleanly as possible, while exposing yourself as little as possible. Why? Because these targets shoot back!

Siege Clubhouse Trigger Control

A cognitive task - Trigger Control spawns either a red or blue target at random! Red targets are the enemy, blue targets are friendly. Simply shoot when the red targets appear and hold your shots when the blue targets appear. This task focuses on your cognitive speed and consistency - and trust me, if you struggle with teamkilling, your teammates will thank you for playing this 😉

Siege Kafe Switchtrack

This task is focused on tracking a target until the health depletes, then transferring to another target. Your focus here should be the timing for each target and identifying which next orb you'll be switching onto which will minimize your time off targets.

Siege Oregon Multishot

A deceptively tricky task - Multishot works on your aim and motor pathing, but also your ability to process a complex scene. Targets will spawn in, grow quickly and shrink back down before disappearing, your goal is to destroy as many as possible without skipping a beat.

Siege Kafe Entry

Last but not least - a final test to bring everything you have learned together. This entry task spawns you into one of various angles on Kafe Dostoyevsky, and pits you against dozens of targets per sweep, each of which shoots back. Your goal is to clear each area as quickly as possible before moving onto the next.

Player Cards

Once you complete all six tasks in the Combine you will be presented with your own, personalised player card to signify your accomplishments! Pick your operator, flex your scores and stake your claim as a Champion! Play the Combine as many times as you want and keep track of your scores as you progress through becoming a better Siege player all around!

Win Prizes

So you’ve beat the tasks and you’ve got your player card - but wait there's more 👀

We've created an exclusive Aim Lab weapon skin within Rainbow Six Siege that you can win by sharing your player card on Twitter with the hashtag #BuildingChampions & following @AimLab! You are also in line to win 2670 points worth of Siege Credit Packs by playing the Combine & sharing your player card!

Follow the above steps & you will be automatically entered into our prize giveaway for this event! Make sure to have your Twitter DM’s open so that we can reach out to you with your prize should you be one of the lucky winners.

Prize Breakdown

 • 1000 lucky winners will be getting exclusive codes to redeem this skin directly in Siege
 • 100 of those winners will also be receiving 2670 points worth of Credit Packs

Please note: The weapon skin codes are available for all platforms and the Siege credit packs are only available for PC.

All other Aim Lab updates in this patch:

Creator Studio Beta Update

We’ve been hard at work getting some new content and changes ready for all of you creators. We’ve been listening to your feedback and have implemented various changes:

 • Map Access Overhaul. Previously in order to access your Creator Studio creations, you needed the map files saved to your PC locally. That has changed, with our new access overhaul, you can download any of your uploaded scenarios from the workshop and be able to edit and reupload them with no issues - Updating any of your older maps should now be a breeze!
 • Map Color Changes. Previously in Aim Lab, the colors you set were the colors the users got - However, we know that some of you were getting feedback from users asking you to change the map colors, or to make some tweaks to lighting. Well, that’s all fixed! You will now have a new color option for any and all objects in your scene to set the color to the players Graybox settings! This way, any map you make can work perfectly for any player!
 • Updates to Behaviors. We’ve made some changes to the “Health Regen” behavior this update. Now targets will have their own, independent regen, rather than regen being handled by the spawner. This means that you will no longer have the issue of regen on one target being delayed because the player is shooting another target. We hope this helps out some of you pokeball mains! 🔴
 • We have some other small QoL changes for all creators too - The Inspector selection issue has been fixed and we’ve done a small UI clean-up to boot!

This rounds-up this week's updates. Make sure to report any bugs in-game & join our Discord to let us know of any feature requests you have or just come and hang-out with the community & our devs! Have a great week 👊
