Patch: Tuesday fixups

[p]Hi folks,[/p][p]Apparently, there are still bugs, who knew![/p][p]In this release, we fix the following:[/p]
  • [p]An error that would occur if you joined a board while players had an open request for a multi-creature attack[/p]
  • [p]A bug in physics that could cause an error on exit.[/p]
  • [p]Poor handling of a reasonably rare connection issue.[/p]
  • [p]A full crash when TaleSpire was given a malformed tsMod file.[/p]
[p]We are already hard at work on the next set of fixes, so look out for those soon.[/p][p][/p][p]p.s. There may be a slight increase in start-up time due to the validation we've added to the files. We are going to look into speeding that back up in a coming release.[/p]

Patch: New week, new fixes

[p]Hi folks, we are coming in hot with a pile of fixes for you.[/p][p]We have:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where a portion of the symbiote might not be clickable.[/p]
  • [p]Tweaked the tools so gm-blocks can be placed on the surface of hidden tiles & props.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a typo in the cut-tool description.[/p]
  • [p]Improved symbiote documentation for the picking tool. Information on the data the function returns should now be clearer.[/p]
  • [p]Improved Isolation mode so now correctly cuts AOEs[/p]
  • [p]Tweaked HeroForge downloads, so they don't start until you reach the board.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where messages being sent to the server during a disconnect were mishandled.[/p]
[p]That last one was responsible for some cases of TaleSpire loading your boards infinitely. We don't believe this was the only bug that has that symptom, but we are still happy to have one less reason for it to happen.[/p][p]We have more fixes coming tomorrow, so we'll see you then.[/p][p][/p][p]p.s. We have been alerted to an issue where HeroForge miniatures have stopped downloading.[/p][p]The problem was that, when TaleSpire asked HeroForge for the download information, the URLs returned to us were incorrect for some miniatures.[/p][p]We have been in contact with HeroForge, and they are in the process of fixing the problem. We will let you know when they have finished that work. You should not have to do anything on your side; the miniatures should repair themselves once HeroForge has completed its fix.[/p]

Release: Photos and fixes

[p]We have a couple of little fixes and a small feature improvement for you.[/p][p]You can now configure which folder the photo mode saves your snaps to. You can do this from both the Settings panel and photo mode itself. There are also little buttons to take you to the saved photos folder.[/p][p][/p][p]We also fixed two little things[/p]
  • [p]We fixed an issue where photos might include the "syncing" UI[/p]
  • [p]Popup messages now truncate if the text would overflow[/p]
[p]Alright. That's that for this patch. We'll see you again soon with more.[/p][p]BUILD-ID: 21143946 - Download Size: Win / Linux 9.3 MB / Mac OS 15 MB[/p][p]p.s. Our bi-monthly banter is coming up this Friday (December 12th) on Twitch at 21:00 UTC. If you'd like to ask us questions and hear the latest behind-the-scenes updates, you can find us there. The vod will, as always, be uploaded to youtube afterwards. Hope to see some of you there![/p]

Patch: Bug squashing fun

[p]Today's release brings four fixes:[/p]
  1. [p]Unsubscribing from community content and TitanCraft minis could fail to delete the local files. TaleSpire will clean up the unwanted files on the next launch.[/p]
  2. [p]Fixed a case where spawning subscribed creatures from the community browser wouldn't work for almost 30 seconds after the creature finished downloading. Now it should take at most a few seconds.[/p]
  3. [p]Previously, a player could change who the party-gm. That's a GM-only option now.[/p]
  4. [p]Deleting the last dynamic tile or prop in a region could leave it's invisible colliders behind.[/p]
[p]We have more fixes and small features on the way, so stay tuned![/p]

Patch: You wouldn't download a... RAM

[p]Thanks to the help of some lovely folks in the community who provided logs and tested builds, we have a new fix for you.[/p][p]On my machine, with 300 miniatures installed, this patch reduces memory usage from 5.1GB to 1.3GB, a 3.8GB reduction.[/p][p]In short, a bug caused TaleSpire to load every installed miniature into memory upon launch. Which, for some folks, was disastrous![/p][p]Thank you for bearing with us as we fixed this issue.[/p][p]And now, back to your regularly scheduled gaming![/p][p][/p]
