Slab Fix Beta: Requesting help from builders

[p]Heya folks, today we have a potential fix for the case where some slabs are incorrectly positioned when pasted.[/p]
[p]For those experiencing déjà vu, yes, we've been here before. We released a fix for an older version of this bug, but that "fix" introduced a new varient of the bug.[/p]
[p]To try and avoid that this time, we've put up a Beta so interested parties can test it before we push it out to everyone.[/p]
[p]If you are up for testing, first, thank you, and second, please follow these instructions:[/p]
  • [p]Find TaleSpire in Steam[/p]
  • [p]Right-click on it and choose Properties from the dropdown[/p]
  • [p]Switch to the Betas tab[/p]
  • [p]Enter into the "Private Betas" text box[/p]
  • [p]Click the "Check Code" button[/p]
  • [p]Click on the blue "Opt Into" bar that appears[/p]
[p]If it doesn't automatically switch the active beta for you, you can pick from the "Select the beta you would like to opt into:" dropdown.[/p]
[p]Switching branch should enqueue a download for the Beta build of TaleSpire.[/p]
[p]If you find any slabs that don't work, please tell us over here: https://feedback.talespire.com/b/slab-positioning-bugfix-beta[/p]
[p]I'll keep this beta up this week.[/p]
[p]Our other beta, the one for the asset loading internals changes, will be going public tomorrow.[/p]
[p]See you around.[/p]

Fixes: Four more

[p]Hello again![/p]
[p]We have another update focusing on the little things.[/p]
[p]This patch includes:[/p]
  • [p]A fix to the settings panel so that using the escape key takes you back to the in-game menu (just as escape does elsewhere).[/p]
  • [p]Tooltips for the ruler icons.[/p]
  • [p]Fix creature names so they don't lag behind the camera.[/p]
  • [p]A fix for a bug where players could be shown the board list even when their GM had set it to be hidden.[/p]
[p]Until next time. Happy adventuring.[/p]

A beta for modders

[p]Hello there folks,[/p]
[p]We have a new Beta up, and it's a hard one to pitch, as regular GMs and Players should see almost no change. Behind the scenes, however, we have made a number of tweaks to how content loading works in preparation for us enabling more third-party integrations.[/p]
[p]We have an active community of folks who mod the game via code injection, and these changes may affect them.[/p]
[p]So, if you develop or use those mods, I'd recommend kicking the tires on this Beta![/p]
[p]Switching to the Beta branch takes a few clicks, and the guide to doing so can be found here: https://talespire.com/welcome-to-the-content-handling-changes-beta[/p]
[p]Leaving the Beta will clear some cached files, so community content will be re-downloaded on subsequent use (either automatically or when prompted based on your settings).[/p]
[p]This Beta will last one week, and then the changes will be shipped to everyone.[/p]
[p]Alright! That's all the important stuff for this post.[/p]
[p]Hope you all have a good week, and we'll see you in the next patch.[/p]

A smattering of improvements

[p]There are big bugs that ruin your day, but then there are also all the little things that just make things suck a little more than they need to. Today's release is about the latter. We have four fixes for problems that have been hanging around for a while.[/p]
  • [p]Hide invite codes by default on the main menu.[/p]
  • [p]Don't show interaction cursor on dice if you can't interact with them.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an error that occurred when trying to process certain malformed dice rolls.[/p]
  • [p]A fix for a case where community content would not show properly in the browser if it had certain tags[/p]
[p]Next up, we have a beta for some internal changes to support new community and third-party content features. More on that later this week.[/p]
[p]Until then folks![/p]

Early Boarding: Feature Release

[p]Today's update is a small quality of life addition.[/p]
[p]Previously, published board URLs only worked once you were already in a campaign. Now they also work from the main menu.[/p]
[p]If you attempt to import a published board from the main menu, you will be prompted, and a new campaign will be created with your chosen board inside. The prompt allows you to choose a name for this new campaign.[/p]
[p]Alright, back to the feature forges we go! See you in the next release.[/p]
