Beta Asset Patch 01: Moorgoth Exterior Extension Set


Here are some of the things the art team has been working on for the last couple of weeks. These assets have come together as something we're calling a Tile Extension set. This time we're extending the Moorgoth Set, and more specifically, it's exterior features.

Here are the new Assets:
  • Railing
  • Fountain
  • Raven/humanoid Gargoyle
  • Stone door
  • Giant stone door
  • Large arched walls
  • Flying Buttress
  • Roof


We've also added a Beta Asset Request hub, similar to the Bug Tracker. You can find that Here

We hope you enjoy the new assets! We're all looking forward to seeing some amazing Moorgoth structures!

Patch Size: 301MB - BuildID 4997574

PS: The patch is quite large this time around, as there were several Asset Bundles getting a rebuild. So we're looking at approximately 300MB. This is likely going to be the case with future Asset Patches as well.


Beta Update 11

A small code update today. In it we:
  • Fixed an error that occured when trying to paste outside of board
  • Only allow the GM flashlight whilst in board
  • Fix an error that could occur on sending board to new player whist internal clipboard is empty.
  • Mitigate error where roll has invalid number of dice.
  • Add flag so we dont send error reports when people are injecting unsupported code

Beta Update 10

Monday, a perfect day for an update. Here's one now!
  • Fix bug where we would try to show the dice result of a player before the board finished loading
  • Fix cases where redeeming and invite code after having clicked on a campaign in the main menu, would result in an error.
  • Fix a case where a request completing after switching campaign could result in an error
  • Fixed bug where the game would allow you to paste before copy network operation had completed
  • Added hourglass indicator to show when a slab is not ready to paste

Beta Update 9

We've got a few more fixes for you all:

- Fixed another case where tiles could become un-deleted
- GM-Overlay now follows Camera Target in the UP Axis
- Refocus camera on character movement
- Increase server-scan timeout

Beta Update 8

Update time again, this release again focuses on fixes
  • Thanks to community testing we were able to fix a bug which caused tiles which had been delete one at a time to reappear after reload, often 'glitched' inside other tiles
  • We fixed a bug in multiplayer building where delete could misprocess data of tiles belonging to other players
  • A bug in undo/redo which could cause tiles appear to be missing was fixed
  • Fixed a case where WASD didnt work until the mouse has moved
  • More stack traces included in error report sent to backend on exception
  • Fixed a bug where trying to paste a slab in an invalid position would instead paste it at origin (glitching it into any tiles already there)


Step by step we are whittling away at the errors causing damage to boards. We do not believe we are done, but we hope that bit by bit you will feel TaleSpire getting more reliable. Thank you for your all your help, theories and patience as we keep on making this crazy project.
