Beta Update 8

Update time again, this release again focuses on fixes
  • Thanks to community testing we were able to fix a bug which caused tiles which had been delete one at a time to reappear after reload, often 'glitched' inside other tiles
  • We fixed a bug in multiplayer building where delete could misprocess data of tiles belonging to other players
  • A bug in undo/redo which could cause tiles appear to be missing was fixed
  • Fixed a case where WASD didnt work until the mouse has moved
  • More stack traces included in error report sent to backend on exception
  • Fixed a bug where trying to paste a slab in an invalid position would instead paste it at origin (glitching it into any tiles already there)


Step by step we are whittling away at the errors causing damage to boards. We do not believe we are done, but we hope that bit by bit you will feel TaleSpire getting more reliable. Thank you for your all your help, theories and patience as we keep on making this crazy project.

Beta Update 7

It's time for the first update of the week. This one contains changes that:
  • Switch off the gm-overlay and building tools on leaving boards
  • Fix time info for invites
  • Fix error caused by UI accessing disposed resources on exit
  • Fix an error that occurred due to local failures when fetching the board from another player
  • Fix errors when changing state while creating a new board
  • Fix errors on reconnecting due to trying to enqueue missing requests
  • Fix a case where delete campaign completing after joining another could cause an error
  • Fix selection of issues around fetching the board list.

Beta Update 6

We are back with another small update!

This one addresses one form of the bug that stopped people from connecting to TaleSpire. If you've been unable to play due to being stuck at the main menu, we highly recommend giving this patch a try. We'd very much like to hear how it goes, so please reach out to us on Discord if you have the time.

Big thanks to the folks in the community who helped us test this patch. It's good to finally have you in the game :)

Beta Update 4

Hey everyone, it's that time again!

In this update we:

  • Fixed a case where paste would create duplicate tiles
  • Fixed a case where player's creatures would be invisible until they were first moved
  • Ensured we transition out of the gm-overlay when switching to player mode
  • Fixed an error that occurred when joining a board with an ongoing creature-attack gm request
  • Fixed an error that occurred when returning to the main menu while a board was loading
  • Temporarily increased the logging around the network connection to the backend in order to better work with community members experiencing connection issues
