Beta Update 15: Creature Scaling



This update features creature scaling and general improvements to the Creature Controller.
  • Added Radial Menu for Scaling Creatures.
  • Screen-shake and custom "feel" added to Large Creatures.
  • Creatures now avoid getting stuck in walls when dropping on top of other Creatures.
  • Carried Creatures now has an indicator for where it will drop.
  • Moving Creatures with the keyboard should yield correct results at higher and lower framerates.
  • ALT to Rotate Creature is now more forgiving.
  • Creature Rotation at lower framerate no longer twitch horribly.
  • Double Clicking on a Creature now transitions to the base of that Creature.
  • Moving the camera with the right mouse button while holding a creature now works.
  • Camera rotation and zooming is now Frame independent.
  • Mouse getting locked and spasming should be addressed when holding creatures.
  • Added some new icons in the radial menu.
  • Unique Creature is no longer held once placed from the Unique Creature List.
  • Spawning Creatures no longer puts you in Build Mode.

Beta Asset Patch 02: "Setting up camp"



Cozy up to the open fire as the second Tile Extension Set focuses on the adventurer's Campsite. Now, whenever your party needs a place to rest or a backdrop for starting a new campaign. The Campfire Tile Extension Set is there.


Featuring:
  • Bedrolls
  • Tents
  • Lean-to
  • Backpacks and gear
  • Bonfire with food
  • A Horse
  • Haystacks
  • Ferns
  • Tree variant
  • And a curious Dryad, keeping an eye on the forest trespassers.


Also on the code side (unrelated to the Campsite):
  • We have made a fix so TaleSpire should now work on machines that don't support SSE4


The art team is hard at work, expanding more sets. Looking forward to hearing some campfire tales!

Beta Update 14

It's that time again. Today we have:

  • Added fog density control to atmospheres
  • Fix bugs so that game now remembers last camera position per-board
  • Internal changes to support upgrading the board format
  • Fix some bugs resulting in duplicate or missing gm-blocks when placing and reloading

Beta Update 13

This update only has one change, but it's such a common bug in multiplayer building that we had to get it out anyway.

This change fixes a bug where a player who used copy previously and then rejoined the board would get errors if they tried to use copy again.

Beta Asset Patch 01: Moorgoth Exterior Extension Set


Here are some of the things the art team has been working on for the last couple of weeks. These assets have come together as something we're calling a Tile Extension set. This time we're extending the Moorgoth Set, and more specifically, it's exterior features.

Here are the new Assets:
  • Railing
  • Fountain
  • Raven/humanoid Gargoyle
  • Stone door
  • Giant stone door
  • Large arched walls
  • Flying Buttress
  • Roof


We've also added a Beta Asset Request hub, similar to the Bug Tracker. You can find that Here

PS: The patch is quite large this time around, as there were several Asset Bundles getting a rebuild. So we're looking at approximately 300MB. This is likely going to be the case with future Asset Patches as well.
