Astralis releases JuGi, signs Bubzkji from MAD Lions

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team Astralis has signed yet another Danish player to its roster. Lucas 'Bubzkji' Andersen is the latest Dane to join the organisation on a two-year contract effective immediately.

The 21-year-old, who was linked with a move for a while now, joins Astralis from MAD Lions where he made a name for himself in the Flashpoint League. The youngster is now the seventh man to be added to the roster, replacing Jakob 'JuGi' Hansen.

"When I heard about Astralis' interest, I already made up my mind: I want to be a part of this team and this organization and this is where I want to play," Bubzkji says in the press release. "I had other options, but after talking to zonic and Kasper about the role I will have, the ambitions of the team, and how they work, I am convinced I can contribute to the team and I can become a better player.

CS:GO legends S1mple and Zeus banned from Twitch for the third time

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive legends and former Natus Vincere teammates Oleksandr 's1mple' Kostyliev and Danylo 'Zeus' Teslenko have both been banned from Twitch. Although the cause for the bans are unknown, the duo are both on their third bans, meaning they could be at risk of a harsher penalty this time around.

S1mple and Zeus, who both received bans previously for using homophobic slurs in Russian, were banned from the platform last night according to Streamer Bans. Although it appears they both still have their partnership status, they might face a longer, more severe punishment from the platform given they are now on their third strike.

S1mple wasted no time reacting to the news on Twitter, joking that like Guy 'Dr DisRespect Beahm's recent permanent ban, Twitch had also not told him the specific reasons behind the ban. He goes on to joke that while he's away, viewers can continue to enjoy his "other streams" from scam artists pretending to be him to steal CS:GO skins and accounts from unsuspecting viewers.

Team Liquid has removed Nitr0 from its CS:GO roster

Team Liquid has removed Nitr0 from its CS:GO roster

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro Nicholas 'Nitr0' Cannella has been removed from Team Liquid's roster. After five years of playing for the esports team, Nitr0 is stepping aside as TL replaces him with newcomer Michael 'Grim' Wince.

Grim comes from playing for Triumph, and it has been confirmed by Rush B Media that he has been bought by the esports giant Team Liquid (via DBLTAP). The 19-year-old has an impressive rating at 1.31 spread over 134 maps for the year and could certainly improve TL's standings when he plays for them at Dreamhack.

TL has been struggling with its performance on the CS:GO scene recently, so changes to the team were inevitable. Some, however will be surprised to hear that it is Nitr0 that is being cut from the roster as he is considered a veteran of the team and game, after joining TL back in 2015. He has not commented except a short tweet saying: "Until next time, friends".

Mousesports hold fundraiser for Cyx's family ten years after his death

Ten years ago today, the Counter-Strike world lost an incredible talent in Toni 'Cyx' Daniloski. The talented player was on his way back from Frankfurt Airport after missing a flight to attend IEM Shanghai when he was involved in a fatal car accident. Now, ten years on, mousesports, his old team, have started a fundraiser to help his family to continue to tend to and visit his grave.

The esports organisation is hoping to raise €10,000 to "support his mother with the ongoing expenses of honouring his life and legacy" according to the GoFundMe page. The fund, which ESL and a number of other kind souls have donated to, has already reached €2,000.

In conjunction with the fundraiser, ESL has also put together a tribute, in which Fatih 'gob b' Dayik talks about how cyx was brought into the team and how his legacy and spirit lives on today.

CS:GO update - the latest changes to the world's best FPS

Looking for details on the latest CS:GO update? Whether it's new weapons and maps, or minor tweaks to the game's core arsenal, staying on top of the meta is key to dominating this competitive FPS.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive isn't updated like other esports. While the likes of League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege spend weeks testing every small change, CS:GO's come out of the blue. While Dota 2 will reinvent itself every three months, CS:GO's changes are so subtle you might not even notice them logging in from day to day. To help facilitate you in noticing this, we are going to track the latest CSGO updates that hit live servers in this post. Each time Valve make significant patches to the game, we will let you know what is worth worrying about, what isn't, and also provide as full a changelog as we are able to.

But before we crack on with the latest CS:GO update, we should mention that we'll only be adding new patches as and when they are finally deployed to live servers. Anyway, on with the changelog.
