Karrigan becomes the oldest CS:GO Major winner with PGL Antwerp win

When FaZe Clan made the decision to re-sign a 31-year-old Finn 'karrigan' Andersen as its in-game leader, many Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans raised an eyebrow. But, after a whirlwind 18 months, the Dane has finally cemented his - and FaZe's name - into the history books with a win at the PGL Antwerp Major 2022. This now officially makes him the oldest player in CS:GO to ever win a Major.

That title was previously held by Daniil 'Zeus' Teslenko, who, at the age of 29, took the PGL Major Krakow 2017 by storm with his team Gambit. karrigan, however, now holds that title at the grand old age of 32 - and it's been a long time coming.

Karrigan was, of course, part of the ill-fated FaZe Clan team which blew a 15-9 lead on Inferno at the ELEAGUE Boston Major finals in 2018 against Cloud9. Many at the time believed karrigan's chance to ever win a Major was over. However, the IGL never gave up and Antwerp proved to be the final stage - something he's been working towards for years.

Valve fixes m0NESY smoke bug during PGL Antwerp 2022

A clip of G2 CS:GO player 'm0NESY' using a smoke grenade exploit in a to mow down players from the opposing team, Imperial, without them seeing him during a PGL Antwerp Major match went viral over the weekend, but thankfully Valve has been quick to patch out the shenanigans.

The CS:GO hotfix was released on May 15, and the patch notes simply read "Fixed a recently reported smoke bug." The cause for such a prompt hotfix can be found in a short video clip that shows m0NESY rushing to the mid window position as a CT. He's smoked off by the opposing team - a commonplace tactic - but he then surprisingly pulls out a smoke grenade of his own, uses an underhand throw, and glitches it in the wall near the window.

As the smoke pops, it leaves a small gap, from which m0NESY then takes out two Imperial team members who strafe out mid, thinking they are obscured from vision. The video uses spectator view to show the view from the Terrorist side, and from their point of view, the window is fully smoked out.

CS:GO knife commands: how to try any knife for free

Knives are some of CS:GO's hottest cosmetic properties, but like many of the most desired skins in the game they fetch a heavy price tag. Even the cheapest CS:GO knives will set you back a fair amount - but what if there was a way to try out even the most expensive knife types for free?

Luckily, CS:GO has a rather expansive custom games system which allows you to birth game modes so wildly different from the main game, like CS:GO surf - so trying out a few knives isn't that hard to figure out. Unfortunately you won't be able to keep any of the knives, nor bring them over to matchmaking to show off to all your friends, but it is an excellent way of trialling knife types before you decide to make that commitment and purchase one for real.

So, want to know all the best CS:GO knife commands to get your hands on what could be your new favourite knife? Have a read on below for all the details.

The most expensive CS:GO skins

Introduced in the 2013 Arms Deal update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, skins in CS:GO have easily become one of the hottest commodities in all of gaming - and with a price tag to prove it. Unlike most other in-game cosmetic systems though, Valve has opted for a community-controlled ecosystem where the players themselves set the prices.

This has led to a lot of good opportunities for players to snag some comparatively well priced items, for example, a couple of the cheapest CS:GO knives that won't put such a big dent into your wallet. However, the downside to this freedom is that skins have the potential for an 'unlimited' price tag - with the most expensive CS:GO skins soaring into the thousands of pounds and dollars. You either have to have a mountain of cash, or be lucky enough to find one in one of the many CS:GO cases available.

Only the best CS:GO skins - or perhaps the rarest - deserve to be at the top of the list of most expensive CS:GO skins however, so if you're looking for the ultimate flex and have the cash ready to prove it, then look no further than our guide on the most expensive CS:GO skins below.
