CS:GO's next major is being hosted by PGL, and fans do not like that




Valve has announced that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's first Major of 2022 will be held in Antwerp, Belgium, and hosted by PGL Esports. The Antwerp Sportpaleis will be the venue for the competition's later stages, and has a max capacity of 23,000. The preliminary rounds will be broadcast in 4K from May 9, and the playoffs take place over May 19-22 (the bit held in the arena)...

Major esports host ESL Gaming is now owned by Saudi Arabia




Pending regulatory approval, a holding company owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund has purchased esports event organizer ESL Gaming and tournament platform FACEIT. According to Sports Business Journal, the price for both companies was $1.5 billion. As part of the acquisition, the two companies will merge into the ESL FACEIT Group, and plan to combine their technology and expertise to "create the ultimate platform for competitive gaming."..

The Dreams & Nightmares Case



Today we shipping the Dreams & Nightmares Case, featuring 17 weapon finishes selected from the CS:GO Steam Workshop as part of the Dreams & Nightmares contest and the Gamma Knives from the Operation Riptide case as rare special items!

The CS:GO team reviewed over 15,000 entries from artists around the world and selected 17 weapon finishes to ship in the case. Each winning entry received $100,000 USD, for a grand total prize pool of $1.7 million.

The winning submissions were produced by 23 different artists, of which 14 were first-time contributors to the workshop. We want to thank everyone who submitted entries and took part in the contest.

The case is now available as an in-game drop and from the Steam Community Market!
