s1mple settings, crosshair, and config for CS:GO

Oleksandr 's1mple' Kostyliev is one of the best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players to ever play the game. With a Major and an Intel Grand Slam title, dozens of tournament wins, and a legendary graffiti to his name, many keep tabs on s1mple's settings as a way of refining their in-game experience.

But what is it about the Natus Vincere's superstar that makes him so special? While his raw talent certainly helps him stand out from the crowd, the way in which he sets his game up is also hugely important. Every one of the s1mple settings, from his crosshair to his config is set up in a way to maximise his success on the server.

And now, you too can set your game up like that. We can't promise you'll turn into a Major-winning AWPer overnight, but it doesn't hurt to try. Here's everything you need to know about s1mple's settings, including how to change them.

CS:GO team Heroic acquires MIBR's BLAST Premier member spot

One of the most recognisable names in European Counter-Strike, Heroic, has become a BLAST Premier member after acquiring the spot previously held by Immortals Gaming Club, the parent company of Brazilian CS:GO side MIBR.

Immortals Gaming Club was one of the founding member teams of BLAST Premier in 2020, but Heroic will now take its place. This is not the first time an organisation has sold its BLAST Premier spot, as in 2021 100 Thieves sold its membership to BIG after it decided to exit the CS:GO esports scene entirely.

"We thank MIBR for being one of our partners for the last two years," says BLAST Premier's managing director, Charlotte Kenny, in a press release. "Their renowned and passionate Brazilian fanbase have ensured there's never been a dull moment, even when we had to pivot to online-only shows in 2020. We look forward to having them back competing in our global qualifiers and regional Showdowns in the future."

CS:GO's instant bomb detonation exploit returns after five years

A large part of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's gameplay comes after the bomb is planted. The push and pull of the game's flow naturally dictates that the Terrorists usually capture a bomb site, plant the bomb, and then Counter Terrorists have to retake the site and defuse the bomb. Years ago, however, there was a glitch that allowed Terrorists to instantly plant and detonate the bomb - and now it's back.

In a Reddit post created by 'pinhorox,' a short video shows CTs pushing down Inferno's infamous Banana, before all at once getting the notification that the bomb has been planted accompanied by a large explosion as the bomb detonates instantly. Pinhorox titled the post 'Never experienced this before. Is this new?' which goes to show just how old the returning exploit is.

It's unclear whether the phenomenon is caused by a glitch when planting the bomb or a new cheat that has circumvented Valve's anti-cheat framework, but the Reddit thread's comments are full of players who have suddenly starting experiencing instant bomb detonations in their games.

Neymar plays CS:GO after scoring hat trick in PSG win

From Robin Williams to The Rock, it's become common to find celebrities who play videogames, but it isn't often that they will accomplish a major feat in their area of expertise, then go straight home and throw themselves into a competitive match of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - but that's just what football icon Neymar did.

A Reddit post by user 'AbsoluteDealer' brought our attention to Neymar's journey from football field to first-person shooter, as an image taken from the star's social media suggests Neymar went home after the recent football match between PSG and Clermont Foot and decided to play the FPS game as a way to unwind.

The image shows his gaming desk setup with CS:GO running, accompanied by the number "3" and a football emoji, a win emoji, then the letters "CS." The only full word reads "bebado," which according to Google Translate means "drunk" in Brazilian Portuguese. On his desk is a signed football, presumably from his recent match against Clermont where he scored a hat-trick, which would explain the emojis' meaning.
