I recently got back into Phasmophobia after a few years off, and among the Fortnites, Dead By Daylights, and Call of Duties of the gaming world, one thing that struck me was the game's (welcome) lack of live-service elements. In a time where it seems every game is fighting for 100% of your attention and time, Phasmo offers a refreshing break from battle passes and seasonal FOMO. Phasmophobia's latest update introduces a spooky diner, bringing the game one step closer to its 1.0 launch

[p]Welcome back, Ghost Hunters.[/p][p]Nell’s Diner has opened it’s doors. Phasmophobia’s newest map is now live across all platforms - Steam, PS5, PS VR2 and Xbox Series X/S.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]In order to access Nell’s Diner, make sure your version of Phasmophobia is up to date (v0.15.0.0).[/p][p]New[/p]

[p]Nell’s Diner: Nell’s Diner is the newest map of Phasmophobia. Similar in size to 6 Tanglewood Drive, but much denser with a wide array of new interactable objects for both players and ghosts. Consisting of 14 rooms total, with 13 possible ghost rooms - including a walk-in freezer room - there’s plenty for Ghost Hunters to discover.[/p]
[p]Moneybags: We’ve added the new Moneybags ID Card & Badge with this update. This’ll unlock once the player has earned the ‘Break the Bank’ achievement.[/p]
- [p]If you have already earned the achievement, this ID Card will unlock upon completing your first contract after downloading the update.[/p]

[p]Fixes[/p]

[p]Fixed an issue that caused no audio to play when a light is shattered during a ghost event.[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue that caused Ghost Orbs to go through walls in to other rooms.[/p]
[p]Fixed an issue that caused the Crucifix to fall under the map if placed inside an object.[/p]

Phasmophobia dev knows that you want more small maps, and Nell's Diner certainly delivers

Despite its incredible popularity and being five years into its life-cycle, ghost-hunting horror game Phasmophobia remains in early access, with a full 1.0 roadmap planned for 2026 and beyond. As such, new content is constantly being added, and huge overhaul make everything feel brand-new all over again. Going Hands-On With Phasmophobia: Nell’s Diner—Serving Up Scares

I didn’t expect to get as invested in Phasmophobia as I have in recent years. When the game first launched, it seemed like a lighthearted multiplayer title best suited to streamers or players who didn’t take horror too seriously. But the more I played, the more I realized I was wrong. The team at Kinetic has stayed dedicated to building a genuine horror experience—whether playing alone or with friends.

Hot off the heels of the addition of the Point Hope Lighthouse map and the drastically redesigned Bleasdale and Grafton Farmhouses comes the highly anticipated Nell’s Diner—a simple yet deeply atmospheric new map that adds a lot of dynamism without completely overwhelming players.

Something I really liked about Phasmophobia’s Point Hope map was how it experimented with verticality, and seeing more maps that played on somewhat traditional styles interested me more than just making haunted houses.
