Dev Blog #35 – Third official map, hunting Mosasaurus and Styracosaurus!

Greetings dinosaur hunters!

Work is progressing on Prehistoric Hunt’s third official map - a new desert region featuring cacti, dunes, oases, and rocky canyons. Alongside the new environment, players will soon be able to hunt the Mosasaurus using an inflatable SUP board, sonar, and a new harpoon gun. Two new species are also in development: the horned Styracosaurus, with its model now complete, and the massive Diplodocus, which continues to take shape.

Thanks again everyone for your continued support!

Third official map

Work is ongoing on the third map, which will take players into a completely new environment - a vast, arid region filled with cacti, dunes, oasis and rocky canyons. We are planning to introduce also new species with the map.

Hunting the Mosasaurus

One of the most requested features is finally becoming reality - hunting the Mosasaurus.

Hunters will be able to deploy an inflatable SUP board along the shorelines. Using this new equipment, you’ll paddle out into open water and track Mosasaurus with the help of a handheld sonar device.
When the Mosasaurus surfaces, regular firearms can be used effectively - but we are also introducing a harpoon gun. This weapon will allow players to inflict damage below the surface.

Different trophy poses in lodge

We are developing ability to change trophy poses in the lodge.

New species: Styracosaurus

The Styracosaurus is joining our game as one of the most distinctive ceratopsians ever discovered. Recognized by its massive nasal horn and a crown of six long spikes extending from its frill, Styracosaurus was a formidable presence in the late Cretaceous landscape. The new model has been completed with animation and texture work left.

New species: Diplodocus

Work continues with the Diplodocus model.
