Hades' Star 2025.1 is now available!

  • Artifacts or Relics that are in the process of loading on the Transport ship will now always return to the planet if the Transport ship is destroyed, regardless of star type. This also fixes a bug where the Time Machine would show incorrect information when such a Transport is destroyed.   • Fixed wrong background scaling in module buttons that have reduced width (https://discord.com/channels/255083954036670464/1326424577600917514)
  • Corporation officers can now add a Discord webhook on the Corporation's settings, to receive notifications of events (ask your Corporation leader or see our Discord server for more information)
  • Sector highlight for placing stations and setting miner routes changed to more subtle blue color
    Corporation information window now shows the level of both Corporation flagships
  • Leap, Dispatch, Vengeance, Destiny AOE indicators will now be colored same as the color of the ship activating the module
  • Players can now register to the Mailing list from inside the game, and filter the email types they get
    Weekly events will start at a fixed time. Upcoming events are visible through the new Events browser (accessible in the Leaderboards window).
  • New monthly White Star event offers 5x Corporation XP for all White Stars that are discovered while the event is active. The first event will start on April 14.

Update notes, November 7

  • Additional Crystals awarded to all existing accounts, to help with the Dark Nebula transition. Check your Inbox message. Long time players will be awarded more Crystals.   • Added additional free planet upgrades for certain accounts that were created pre-Dark Nebula
  • Reduce build price for Battleship level 4 and over
  • Shipment drone: Maximum capacity increased
  • Shipment relay: Hydrogen prices decreased for Relay level 6 and lower
  • Starter pack 2 shipment bonus increased slightly
  • Red Star level 11 Hydrogen costs decreased (scan & transport jump)
  • Active modules are disabled after jump to White Star
  • Cargo Repair in White Stars will no longer consume Relics that are still loading.
  • Reduced requirements for Red Hydrogen achievement

Hades' Star: DARK NEBULA is now available!

This is the biggest update to the game since it first released, more than 6 years ago. Thank you to everyone in this community for supporting the game over all these years!

Hades' Star: DARK NEBULA is coming soon to Steam and Steam Deck!

Over the past 2 years, we've been hard at work strengthening the foundation of Hades' Star, so that the game can remain popular and viable for many more years in the future. The result of this effort is called Hades' Star: DARK NEBULA, a massive update to the game that is coming soon to Steam.

There are multiple posts at blog.hadesstar.com, describing the motivations, design goals and development process that went on during these years to give the update its final shape. You can review those if you want to dig deeper. However, most players will want to see how their daily gameplay will change, and what to do to keep progressing in the game at an optimal rate. For that purpose, we've prepared the following upgrade guide:

Hades' Star: DARK NEBULA on Steam Deck


The Steam Deck is a wonderful device that is perfect for games like Hades' Star. We have experimented a lot with it, and have created a completely new version of the game to suit the hardware. We found early on that the Steam Deck does not offer a great touch experience, so instead we've focused on a gamepad-exclusive interface. We can't wait to show you soon how well the game works on the device.



Hades' Star: DARK NEBULA is currently scheduled for release on October 30, as an update to the current Hades' Star game on PC and Mac. Unforeseen issues may push this date back. The custom, Linux-native Steam Deck build will launch along with this update, and we aim to have it verified as fully compatible at launch or shortly after.
