Let's Play the Sable Demo!

In celebration of the Steam Next Fest and the release of the Sable Demo, our Quality Producer Elisabeth will guide you through the beginning moments of Sable's journey.

We hope you enjoy the Sable demo - please stay tuned for the full release on September 23rd!

Demo Hotfix - 60 fps!

Hey everyone,

It’s been amazing and completely overwhelming seeing people play the demo, hearing your thoughts and getting feedback! The game is still a work in progress and we know there are some things that need ironing out for launch.

Having said that, we decided to push a hotfix for PC based on what we knew we could fix before Steam Next Fest ended. We have updated the following:

  • Added a 60 fps option
  • Camera sensitivity sliders now work in settings
  • Mouse cursor is restricted to game window
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from exiting the cartographer’s shop menu. You should now be able to close it with Backspace on your keyboard, or the B button if you’re using a controller
  • The pause menu now shows the correct keyboard prompt to close the screen

We are aware that there are other issues to address and fix - the aim is to get these sorted by release of the full game. The more work we do on the demo, the less time we have to work on the full release so at some point we have to shift focus.

This doesn’t mean we aren’t still interested in feedback you have on the demo. If you encounter any bugs we would really appreciate it if you submitted them to Raw Fury using this link: https://rawfury.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1

A final note - if you get stuck in geometry, lose your bike or get lost, once you have visited the camp you can go into the map screen and fast travel to the camp from anywhere.

Happy gliding

Eight narrative games revealed new trailers at the Tribeca Film Festival

The Tribeca Film Festival has nothing to do with E3, aside from the fact that it's going on right now. Oh, and they invited eight upcoming narrative-focused games to be involved this year for their first game award category. Several of the bunch, Sable, Harold Halibut, Kena: Bridge Of Spirits, and more are games we're quite looking forward to around these parts. Regardless of opinion on video games at film festivals, Tribeca put together a neat showcase with some new trailers and developer interviews for all eight of the entries.

Desert-roaming adventure Sable comes out this September

We were treated to a lovely live performance of music from Sable last night, during the Summer Game Fest while footage of the gorgeous upcoming open-world game played in the background. It's looking as lovely as ever, with charming deserts that rival that of Journey. And now, after two years of delays, we'll finally be able to explore its beautiful environments ourselves when Sable launches on September 23rd.

At last, a longer look at lovely hoverbike adventure Sable

Sable is one of those beautiful-looking indie games that brings out the worst in me. "I want it now," I whine when the first, enticing trailer crops up, knowing perfectly well that's not how these things work. Sable has now gone and revealed a longer look at the first 13 minutes of the game, a good bit more than we'd seen previously. I still want it now, in all its Moebius-inspired loveliness. The new video shows off a fair bit of chatting, a bit of hoverbike riding, and how Sable first learns to magically glide.
