Glider by Japanese Breakfast is out today!

The Sable soundtrack is a very special part of Sable and Japanese Breakfast has created a magical accompaniment to the game which we are very excited for you all to hear. And while we have given you little glimpses of its wonder in our trailers - this is just a glimpse and there is lots more wonder to come.

Today we are happy to let you know that the lead single for the soundtrack ‘Glider’ is available to stream. All of your listening options can be found here: Glider stream links

The Sable soundtrack features instrumental and vocal music written by Japanese Breakfast’s Michelle Zauner. Re the soundtrack Japanese Breakfast said:

“I was so lucky Daniel Fineberg and Gregorios Kythreotis from Shedworks invited me onto this game so early on. I was immediately captivated by the world they’d built, a desert planet filled with mysterious natural and architectural wonders, and the story they’d imagined, one of a young girl coming of age through exploration. It was important to me that each biome in this world felt unique. I used woodwinds and vocal layering to make monumental ruins feel ancient and unknown, industrial samples and soft synths to make atomic ships feel cold and metallic, classical guitar and bright piano to make encampments feel cozy and familiar. I wanted the main themes to recall iconic works of Joe Hisaishi and Alan Menken, to fill the listener with the childlike wonder of someone on the precipice of a grand discovery."

One month until Launch!

The countdown officially begins now! It is exactly one month from launch and we are very excited for you all to finally get to play the full game.

So much is going on behind the scenes, including some very exciting videos showing off some of the world of Sable and how it works (which we will be sharing very soon!).

And talking of lovely videos here is our latest trailer that we released earlier this summer. We hope you like it and that it gets you even more excited for the game.

Steam Demo availability

Hey everyone,

We wanted to let you all know that we’ll be deactivating the Sable demo on Monday July 5 at 9am CEST, meaning it will no longer be discoverable or available to download and install from then.

However! If you’ve already downloaded and installed the demo you’ll be able to keep it in your catalogue. Which of course also means you can keep playing it, yay!

There’s a caveat to that: in order to keep it, you will need to make sure to update your installed Sable demo to the latest version before Monday. The update is available to apply right now.

To close; a note from Greg:

It's been amazing seeing the response to the demo, we're really happy that you got to have a better sense of what we're trying to do with Sable and hope you're looking forward to playing the full game! We have a lot to get on with now, thank you so much for all the feedback, bug reports and kind words. See you in September!
