Tennis Elbow 4 - Version 0.46 - Build 60
Finally, the outfit modding is coming !
With it, most of the game is now moddable, although some things will change in the future to be easier to Mod (mostly the sounds, and the 2D court organization).
You'll still have to wait tomorrow (or Thursday) to get your hands on the TE4 Modding SDK that will allow you to Mod the outfit.
And here the changelog for this new version :
New Features :
- Outfit : separated the left & right wristbands, so they can be tuned independently
- Outift : separated the mesh selection from the texture selection for the hats, so it'll be easier to add modded textures for each hat
- Modding : the engine can load outfit images (wait for the Modding SDK to use that functionality)
- Modding : the CPU players in the World Tour without an outfit code can now use the modded animations as well as the modded outfits
Changes :
- AI : raised by ~50% the efficiency of the Self Confidence, so if a CPU player plays vs himself, except he has 100% in Self Confidence and the other one has 0%, then he'll win nearly 60% of the sets
- Animation : slightly lowered the reach of the 2-handed forehand while on the run and significantly lower the reach on both sides, for all animations, when running back to the baseline ; all this is to prevent too weird stretching from the dynamic animation system
Bug Fixes :
- Gameplay : the Surface skills, although hidden from the GUI, were still active during the game
- Animation : since the last Build, the CPU could sidestep all the way back from the net to the baseline when he had to do a smash there ; now, he'll just run back normally
- Animation : fixed a few cases where the human-controller player could wrongly predict when he was going to hit the ball, leading to strange things in the dynamic animation system, as well as gliding & animation jerking
- Animation : the human-controller player could hit clip the ball (and do a fault) instead of waiting for a tiny bit more to hit it back into play (when the ball was going to the player on left/right instead of going away from him)
- Animation : when running back to the baseline, the ball height could be wrongly predicted, leading the dynamic animation system to compress the player into the ground ':D
- Helpers : the Danger Zone wasn't displayed if the ball was going extremely high (ie: ~15 meters or more)
Notes :
- The TE4 Modding SDK should come tomorrow (or else it'll be on Thursday :fear: )
