Build 155 - SubBuild 2026.3.3

Here's another regular update bringing tuning, balancing, one important bug fix and a possible welcome help for some of you when playing online.

I hope you'll enjoy it ! 🙂
New Features :
- Online : now the game will try to connect on all your Internet IPv6's (if available) in addition of your IPv4 (if you have one) ; this should make it easier to connect for people behind a CGNat or having a non-full-stack IPv4, and make the IP override setting more or less useless, except if the game doesn't detect correctly your Internet IP
Changes :
- Strike : raised the speed of the smash after the bounce for the normal strike, the topspin strike, the acceleration and the short acceleration
- Controls : the AutoPos will now position your player for a Shoulder Height Acceleration if you're very close to the bounce of a lob and positioned to do a Forehand ; however, if the ball bounce is too strong, you'll do an error
- Audio : the crowd is now a bit more reactive on break points & game points won from an error
- Stadiums : tuned the lighting a bit for night sessions, so the brightness is a bit more stable from one stadium to another
Bug Fixes :
- World Tour : in fictional years, doubles specialists could get way too strong when there were not enough of them
- Controls : the net jump could wrongly trigger in some rare configurations

Build 155 - SubBuild 2026.2.10

Woh, the official Steam release brought many new players ; I didn't expect that ! 😲

So welcome to all of you, and thanks to everybody, both old and new, for your kind words and congratulations, it really cheers me up !

And here are the little changes and bug fixes I made based on all the feedback I got over the past couple of weeks. I hope you'll enjoy them. 🙂
Changes :
- Rendering : the Danger Zone and Aiming Preview are now lit like other 3D elements, which should prevent them from getting too dark (and thus they receive shadows)
- Rendering : tuned the auto-exposure so the global luminosity will be more stable when the lines get dirty on clay
- Controls : tuned the detection of simulator controllers to automatically ignore them (I'm not sure it's working, as I don't have any weird-behaving controller :fear: ) ; any controller with 32 axes is now also ignored
Bug Fixes :
- Strike : the ball could go through your player's racket when you were a bit far from it
- AI : the doubles CPU could stay in the wrong position after its partner hit the ball, especially after an interception
- World Tour : the Country Cup Stadium selection was bugged, leading to getting low-rank stadiums too often
- Desync : both online doubles with CPU and match replay could randomly desync from a wrongly initialized CPU parameter

TE4 is out of Early Access and officially released on Steam !

After 4.5 years in Early Access, Tennis Elbow 4 is now officially released on Steam.

The game was already released on consoles in 2024, and reached version 1.0 on all platforms in March 2025, followed by v1.0a in September 2025.

TE4 is leaving Early Access now because I’m no longer working on it full-time.
That said, I’ll continue fixing reported bugs, answering questions, and hopefully adding small improvements from time to time, especially to help Modders bring their own vision into the game.

If you have any questions or feedback, I’m always around on the discussion forums : https://steamcommunity.com/app/760640/discussions/

I hope you’ll enjoy TE4. I’ve put more than 9 years of my life into this project, alongside Tennis Elbow Manager 2 (not counting the additional years spent on TE1/2/3 and TEM1). 🙂

Cya all ! And thanks for your amazing support and feedback over the years : you really helped me make TE4 a better game. 👍

Build 154 - SubBuild 2026.1.15

Finally, here’s one more regular update before the official Steam release.
It includes a few bug fixes and balance tweaks, as well as improvements to make the transition to TEM2 mode smoother for players who want more management depth in their World Tour.

This should be the last update before the game’s official release on Steam, planned for Friday, January 23rd... Assuming I don’t forget 😅

After that, the pace of regular updates may slow down.

I hope you’ll enjoy it, and here’s the full changelog. 🙂
New Features :
- World Tour : in TEM2 mode, you can now reconfigure your Coach in the Coach Info screen
- Stats : you can now show the 1st serve & 2nd serve impacts by pressing Right Shift + F9 (it works on consoles if you have a keyboard)
Changes :
- AI : when playing doubles, boosted the volley efficiency a bit for the Master CPU and some more for the Incredible CPU
- AI : now, in doubles, the CPU will sometimes aim in the hole between his 2 opponents
Bug Fixes :
- Strikes : when prepared very early, the strikes could get deep but not accurate enough, thus ending out
- AI : because of the previous point, the Incredible CPU was doing Safe strikes instead of good shots ; it should be now significantly more efficient, especially at the Incredible-10 level
- AI : in doubles, the CPU partner at the net wasn't switching sides when his partner at the baseline was chasing a ball on its side
- World Tour : your skills were modified when playing Doubles (this should now happen only when activating the TEM2 mode, depending on your Doubles Spirit skill)
