Game Engine Update
Hello fellow Preppers!
We noticed that some of you experiencing crashes and high CPU/GPU usage during the play. We have been collecting logs from you and realised that it might be a problem with game engine version that had it's last update on 2017 when we started the production.
Why we did not update it before?
When you start the production you start from the newest version possible. Then you proceed forward and after some time updating the engine might cause many troubles and require fixes and changes all the time. In most cases you finish the production on the version you started it with. During the tests there was no issues that told us that this step should be done. Upgrading the engine at the end of the production might postpone the release and force us to test the game many times before the release - and there were no signs that it is required at all.
But now - when we know that some of you might have troubles with crashes and high CPU/GPU usage we decided to do it. We will update the game engine to the latest possible version. It's a lot of work and a lot of testing for us but still it's worth it - you gave us amazing feedback and we know that you really like the game. In return we are starting the migration process. Hopefully the newest version of the engine will fix all the crashes and CPU/GPU usage issues and won't bring anything unexpected.
So... nothing else to say, we are getting back to work!
Ah... If you did not leave the review yet, please do so - it is very, very important to the small devteam like ours :)
Truly yours,
Rejected Games
