Call to Arms Patch 7, AKA the Season 13 Patch, is now live! This patch brings big changes and improvements to competitive open-world gameplay in Albion. As Albion's next major content update will be focused on improving the overall open-world experience (more about that soon!), we've decided to bring some of those changes to the game already, in anticipation of the start of Guild Season 13 this Saturday.
[h3]New Mobs: Crystal Spider and Treasure Drone[/h3]
The Crystal Spider is a new rare boss that randomly spawns throughout the Outlands, intended for groups of 3-5 players. In addition to Fame, killing a Crystal Spider grants up to 30 Season Points. Treasure Drones are rare mobs that transport Avalonian Chests through the open world, and are defeatable by solo adventurers. They have similar rarity levels to dungeon chests, with higher-tier drones dropping increasingly valuable Avalonian loot.

Other mob changes include world boss spawn times being doubled to two hours, as well as double Season Points for killing world bosses and double Fame for all open-world faction mobs and Siphoning Mages.


[h3]Resource and Transmutation Changes[/h3]
The spawn rate of enchanted resources has increased, with rare resources doubled and exceptional resources quadrupled. Resource transmutation prices have overall been increased, as has the respawn rate of all T5+ resources in the open world. At the same time, transmutation prices for Runes, Souls, and Relics have been significantly reduced to make high-level Artifacts cheaper to craft and more accessible.

• Disarray (Zerg debuff) curve adjusted to be much steeper
• Shield bubbles from instances shortened
• Corpses can no longer be looted while Hellgate PvP is active
• Four new Avatar Rings added to Vanity Merchant
• Combat Balance adjustments

[h3]Season 13 Starts Saturday[/h3]
Albion's next Guild Season is almost upon us, with incredible rewards for ranking guilds including the Phalanx Beetle. You can check out the full Season 13 schedule right here. We'll see you soon ingame!

2021 has seen Albion's population grow bigger than ever before, with Daily Average User counts increasing even beyond the previous records set in 2020. In February, the game reached a new peak of 135,000 daily active players, which was immediately surpassed with the launch of the Call to Arms update in March. With its complete rework of Faction Warfare, revamped Hellgates, Loadouts, and much more, Call to Arms pushed Albion's daily average population to over 140,000 and also saw some of the game's highest-ever numbers on Twitch and Youtube.

Peak player numbers on Steam also increased by over 200% since January of last year, reaching a peak of nearly 13,000 simultaneous Steam players in addition to the majority playing via native platforms.


[h3]Albion's Mobile Launch: Shattering Previous Records[/h3]
On June 9, 2021, Albion's mobile version went live worldwide on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The launch was the result of years of development and optimizations, and finally fulfilled the goal – set out in the game's very earliest stages of development – of offering a truly cross-platform sandbox MMORPG experience. After the game went live on the App and Play Stores, new and returning players flooded into the game, setting a staggering new record: 270,000 daily active players, nearly twice the previous peak.

The mobile launch brought an exclusive reward, consisting of the brand-new Chimera Riding Horse Skin and 100,000 Fame, given to all players who log into the game on both desktop and mobile. Along with this reward, the celebration of Albion's status as a truly cross-platform experience was rounded out with the launch of a new live-action trailer. [h3]What's Next?[/h3]
As mentioned in our last update, we're already hard at work on our next major content update later this year, which will focus on improving and deepening Albion's open world. You can look forward to a Roadmap Update from our Game Director soon, which will cover our plans for the coming months and give a preview of some of the specific features currently in the works.

[h3]Claim Your Chimera and 100,000 Fame[/h3]
To celebrate Albion's status as a fully cross-platform MMORPG, starting today you can log into the mobile and desktop version with the same account to unlock an exclusive cross-play reward: the Chimera Riding Horse Skin and 100,000 Fame:

• This reward is available to all players, and does not require pre-registration, Premium, or any other special account status
• To receive the reward, log into the mobile version and the desktop version anytime after the official launch with a single account
• Rewards can be unlocked with any combination of mobile/desktop platforms (iOS + PC, Android + Linux, etc.)
• The Chimera Riding Horse Skin will be automatically unlocked in the Appearance Menu for all characters on the account, and can be used on any Riding Horse base mount
• The non-tradable Tomes of Insight can be claimed by one character on the account via the "Claim Rewards" tab

[h3]A Major Milestone[/h3]
The mobile launch is the last major step in fulfilling the game's original cross-play promise, and brings a new level of accessibility to the game for veteran and starting players alike. With a game as huge and dynamic as Albion Online, development of both the desktop and mobile versions will of course be an ongoing process.

Albion Online's thirteenth Guild Season starts on Saturday, June 19. Guilds that reach a high enough rank during the season can claim fantastic rewards including an avatar, avatar ring, and the powerful new Phalanx Beetle!



The Phalanx Beetle is essentially a walking fortress, specialized in defensive warfare and slowing enemy forces, which can rain arrows and spears on the battlefield from behind its shielded carapace. This mount will be awarded to guilds who reach Silver Rank or higher during Season 13, with increasingly higher stats (and increasingly epic appearance) with each successive tier.

The winning guild will receive a statue among the past Guild Season winners in Conquerors' Hall and members of the top three guilds will receive their own placeable Winner Statue. Qualifying guilds will also receive other goodies like an avatar and avatar ring, a Fame Bonus, and more (click on images to enlarge):

Season 13 doubles Fame earned for killing Siphoning Mages and open-world mobs, and introduces two new open-world enemies: the Treasure Drone and the Crystal Spider. Gathering has been boosted with increased resource enchantment rates, and the loot of Castle Outpost chests has been doubled. Further adjustments have been made to Disarray, Castle layouts, and the 20v20 Crystal League to keep seasonal guild warfare competitive and fair.
