The Season 26 Midseason Invasion Day is Coming!

Season 26 has been a whirlwind so far, with the new 59-day format keeping the action fast and relentless. With only two months to claim their spot at the top, guilds have had to push harder than ever, and this weekend, as we reach the midseason Invasion Day, the stakes are about to rise even higher.

Before the battles begin, let’s take a look at how the rankings are shaping up so far:
  • Albion Europe: The race for top spot on the European server started off fiercely contested, with both Road Block and Woof Woof declaring their intent to claim the crown. And, oh boy, did the action deliver! Massive battles erupted over Vortices, Castles, and Territories as both guilds deployed their full forces in an all-out war. For the first month, the contest was neck-and-neck. However, the race took a dramatic turn when Road Block announced their withdrawal, allowing Woof Woof to surge ahead. Now, with an 80,000-point lead, they stand uncontested at the top – unless another guild steps up to challenge them in the final stretch...
  • Albion Asia: Peony Flower has once again asserted dominance on the Asia server, leading with 384,000 Season Points, followed closely by their ally fumass with 305,000. While the top spot seems secured, the Outlands remain an intense battleground as multiple alliances clash in an ongoing coalition war spanning several timers. Could this internal strife lead to Peony Flower’s downfall, or will they solidify their rule once again? With a month left, anything is possible.
  • Albion Americas: IFures entered Season 26 determined to claim their third gem, a feat they were denied in Season 24 when D R U Y D S betrayed them at the last moment to steal victory. Now, IFures sit atop the rankings with 386,000 Season Points, while Outlimits trail in second place with 286,000. Unlike previous seasons, diplomacy has taken precedence over war, and the usual large-scale conflicts have quieted down. But with 30 days remaining, will peace hold, or is another last-minute betrayal on the horizon? We’ll be watching closely.

The new shortened season format means every moment counts, and this weekend’s Invasion Day kicks off the critical double-scoring phase. During Invasion Day, all territories reset as invaders sweep the Outlands, giving guilds a fresh chance to claim key locations and position themselves for the final push.

Dev Talk: Development Update Feb 2025

The Rogue Frontier update launched in early February, and it’s made Albion’s open world busier than ever, with players diving into Smuggler’s Dens and planting their Kill Trophies all over the world. In this new Dev Talk, Head of Production Moritz Bokelmann looks at the impact of that update and offers a taste of what we’re cooking up for you next.
Rogue Frontier
The Rogue Frontier update has so far been a success, and activity levels are looking good.
  • The Bank Overview, Personal Island Chests, and Kill Trophies have all been very popular
  • Smuggler’s Dens and Smuggler’s Activities have made the Outlands more lively than ever
  • Solo players and all sizes of groups are thriving in the open world
Albion’s Next Update
Work is underway on the next major game update, which will focus on instanced PvP and the new player experience.

Instanced PvP Content
  • The next update will address community concerns with Corrupted Dungeons and Hellgates
    • Additionally, these will be made directly accessible from major cities
  • A new PvP dungeon aimed at 2-3 player groups will be introduced
    • This is inspired by Knightfall Abbey, but with fewer exits, deeper levels, and greater consequences
    • Players can weigh up whether to escape with their loot, or dive deeper for more rewards

Early Game Improvements
  • The next update also aims to help new players once they’ve finished the tutorial
  • A new, dedicated Albion Journal category will offer structured milestones
    • These start simple, and gradually encourage self-sufficiency
  • There will be additional improvements aimed to help early-to-mid level players
The new update will also, of course, bring additional quality-of-life and gameplay improvements, and a new batch of Crystal Weapons.
Looking Further Ahead
Beyond the next update, we want to continue improving Royal Continent gameplay for early-to-mid level players. One particular area of focus will be Faction Warfare. Faction Warfare is an important and popular feature, but several issues need to be addressed, for instance:
  • High repair costs
  • Difficulty finding consistent action
  • Lack of variety in objectives
We’re currently working on addressing these problems, as well as finding ways to make Faction Warfare activities more rewarding and engaging for everyone.

We’ll also have had a few Guild Seasons with the new, shorter format by then, and we’ll want to take another look at them – in particular to make them more attractive to mid-range guilds, while offering new goals for high-level guilds. We’re eager to hear your suggestions for improvements here and for other parts of the game, so if you have any ideas, let us know by commenting on the video above!
