Ambassador Spotlight: ElPelotasssss

AlbionTV continues its interview series bringing the spotlight to the AOCP Ambassadors introduced with the Abyssal Depths update. This week, the mic belongs to ElPelotasssss. Tune in this Friday, August 22 at 20:00 UTC for a live interview with one of Albion’s most influential Spanish-speaking creators, only on twitch.tv/albiononline.

[h3]ElPelotasssss[/h3]There’s no mistaking the presence of “Pelo” when he goes live. Known for his fearless Carving Sword plays and leading zergs into glorious mayhem, ElPelotasssss brings more than just skill, he makes you feel like you’ve dropped into a casual chat with a friend who happens to be deep into Albion (and won’t shut up about it.)

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
On Twitch, his streams are more like a community hangout than a formal broadcast. Viewers swap stories, joke around, and share life updates while the action rolls on. Over on YouTube, his guides and Dev Talk reactions keep the same relaxed vibe, explaining things like a regular player, complete with the good moves, the occasional mistakes, and the laughs in between.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
That unfiltered, approachable style has earned him trust across the Spanish-speaking community. From being the first to successfully introduce the Carving Sword into the Mists to making economy tips easy to follow, he’s built a voice that commands respect and a space where anyone can learn without feeling overwhelmed. It’s this mix of authority and accessibility that’s made his word a touchstone in the community. If Pelo says it, people tend to act on it.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
As an Ambassador, Pelo channels that same energy into representing one of Albion’s largest language groups, making sure their voice is heard. With the Depths now in play, his focus remains sharp, and his community is right there with him, ready for whatever challenge Albion throws next. Catch his live interview this Friday for more stories, more laughs, and a chance to win a Corrupted Preacher vanity bundle.

Creator Spotlight: Schrank

Creator Spotlight is a series where we shine a light on Albion Online’s dedicated Content Creators by sharing their stories, unique perspectives, and favorite moments. Get to know them and, if you’re intrigued, follow their channels for more!

[h3]Schrank[/h3]How and when did you get into creating Albion Online content?

I started streaming in March 2022, just for fun. Back then, I was only streaming crafting content, until an old friend told me that there was a real need for crafting video guides in Spanish, and at that time nobody was really covering Albion’s economy in Spanish at all. So I started making economy guides in November 2022, and that’s been my focus ever since.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Do you have a favorite video of yours that you think everyone should have seen? Let us know why it's special!

I have a video where I explain all the different ways to make Silver through economic content, without relying on PvP. I think it’s important to show this kind of content to newer players, because when you're just starting out, you don’t yet understand the mechanics or have the knowledge needed to survive in PvP. This gives them another way to progress and enjoy the game:

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Do you have any new content in the making that you would like to tease?

Yes! I’ve written scripts for new videos where I go over every type of economic gameplay in Albion: with or without PvP, using Focus or not. The goal is to have a complete channel where players can find a guide for every single economic path available in the game.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
What advice would you give other players who are considering becoming Albion Online content creators?

The best advice I can give is: create content, don’t just play Albion. It doesn’t matter what kind of content it is, but make sure it’s useful to your audience. Think guides, “how to play” weapon videos, news, and so on. Focus on content that helps people, not just gameplay.

The Crucible Results Are In!

The battle is over, the dust has settled, and after a month of intense fighting and grinding, one figure has emerged from the Crucible with the crown. So congratulations to Zizaran, a worthy champion!

Zizaran made a strong start to the tournament, jockeying with Zerator for first place. After edging ahead in the second week, he pulled away during the latter half of the tournament and finished with a lead of over 200,000 points – a truly impressive showing! In second place came Diables & ZWIERZAAK, who joined forces midway through to challenge Zizaran’s place, but ultimately couldn’t dislodge him. Completing the top three is REVENANT, who made such a strong showing in the last two weeks to secure a podium place.

Zizaran had this to say about his experience:
“The tournament was a great way for me to learn Albion Online, because I got to leverage experienced players and create a unique moment that reminded me of Eve University. I love PvP Games like Darkfall and Eve, so I got addicted quickly, although whoever made the pull monsters in Corrupted Dungeons hates players! Thanks for having me, it was a blast!”

He also made an appearance on AlbionTV (twitch.tv/albiononline) the other day to discuss his victory, check it out here:

Zizaran receives a much-coveted, hand-forged, extremely heavy Galatine Pair for his triumph, a one-of-a-kind prize befitting of his achievement. And all of the top 20 receive a share of 10,000 gifted subscribers, depending on their final position.

The statues to the victorious guilds from Season 26 have been unveiled in each server’s Conqueror’s Hall. Congratulations once again to IFures, Peony Flower, and Heralds of Valhalla!

[h3]Changes[/h3]

Depths Changes
  • The duration of each level has been reduced by 3 minutes
  • Players now display a ghostly animation upon death, making it easier to distinguish them from those turning invisible
  • The time between entering the Depths and being allowed to reenter has been reduced
    • This means that players who die soon after entering can enter another Depths instance quickly
Vanity Merchant Changes
  • Tabs in the Vanity Merchant UI have been reorganized to better match those in the Appearance UI, as follows:
    • Wardrobe, Mount Skins, Victory Emotes, Avatars, Furniture & Consumables
  • The price of Victory Emotes purchased with Community Tokens has been doubled, but they now grant five times as many charges
  • Adventurer Tokens can no longer be crafted
    • These can be salvaged for 100 Community Tokens
  • Any Adventurer’s Challenge Avatar or Avatar Ring can now be crafted with Community Tokens
    • These can be salvaged for 40% of their Community Token value
Mob Changes
  • Damage dealt by bosses and minibosses in Hunter Corrupted Dungeons has been reduced
  • The number of tracks in Tier 5+ blue and yellow zones has been increased to match the amount in Tier 3 and 4 blue zones
  • Avalonian Raid bosses are now immune to silence effects
Other Changes
  • The following items can now be sold at the Tutorial Marketplace in the Cove:
    • Tier 1 equipment
    • Carrot Soup
  • In Streamer Mode, region names are now hidden in region queues
    • This applies to the HUD tracker, overhead messages, and notifications
  • Cooldown for /whisper, /faction, and /factionlocal chat has been reduced to 0.5 seconds
  • Trading in Corrupted Dungeons has been disabled
  • The Journal missions 'Get 150,000 Infamy in Corrupted Dungeons' and above have had their rewards reduced

[h3]Combat Balance Changes[/h3]

Axes

Halberd now reduces enemies’ CC resistance, giving it a utility role and making it more attractive to bring one to group fights.
  • Tear Apart (Halberd)
    • Added: enemy CC resistance decreased by 0.2 for 4s
Crossbows

Sweeping Bolt is now slightly easier to hit with, and has a cooldown that better matches ally CC. Its damage has also been increased to help Heavy Crossbow find a place in the meta.
  • Sweeping Bolt (Heavy Crossbow)
    • Improved hit detection, including a slightly larger hitbox
    • Cooldown: 15s → 20s
    • Damage: 192 → 225
Cursed Staffs

Haunting Screams now travels more slowly across the ground, allowing it to hit crowd-controlled targets more often and more reliably, benefiting both solo and group play.
  • Haunting Screams (Cursed Skull)
    • Max duration: 5.3s → 5s
    • Distance covered: 12m → 10m
    • Damage per tick: 28 → 31
Shapeshifter Staffs

Pulse Shock has continued to be favored over Reality Fissure, even for 1v1 combat with ranged shapes. To make it a more attractive option in those situations, its cast time has been reduced to improve reliability.
  • Reality Fissure (all Shapeshifter Staffs)
    • Cast time: 0.4s → 0.3s
Swords

Mighty Blow’s stand time and ending distance from the target have been reduced, making it easier for Heroic Strike to follow up on fleeing enemies despite its recent range reduction.
  • Mighty Blow (Broadsword)
    • Dash stand time: 0.3s → 0.1s
    • End position offset: -2.5m → -2m
Helmets

Now that purges like those from Knight Armor are common, Displacement’s cooldown has been reduced to keep it a reliable answer to forced movement effects.
  • Displacement Immunity (Knight Helmet)
    • Cooldown: 30s → 25s
Energizing Shield has provided slightly too much energy security in 1v1 content. Increasing its cooldown gives opponents a larger window to punish energy-hungry builds that rely on it as their sole sustain.
  • Energizing Shield (all Helmets, Caps and Cowls)
    • Cooldown: 20s → 25s
Shoes

Mistwalker has been slightly too strong in both 2v2s and ZvZ bombing. To rein it in, its dash range has been reduced by one meter to match Cleric Sandals’ Blink.
  • After Image (Mistwalker Shoes)
    • Dash range: 11m → 10m
Ethereal Form’s invincibility duration has been reduced from 4.5s to 4s, so solo ZvZ bombers who are CC’d during the two-second vulnerability window can now be more reliably punished.
  • Ethereal Form (Feyscale Sandals)
    • Maximum Duration: 6.5s → 6s
Miscellaneous
  •  Inner Shadow (Shadowcaller)
    • Improved visual indication of the area affected by Plate Armor’s effect

[h3]Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed resource filters not working correctly in the Bank Overview
  • Fixed issue where changing regions with an overcharged item equipped would cause health to display its base value
  • Fixed rare issue in the Depths where two teams could spawn in the same location

Ambassador Spotlight: Pr0fessorPewPew

AlbionTV continues its interview series bringing the spotlight to the AOCP Ambassadors introduced with the Abyssal Depths update. This week, the lecture hall belongs to Pr0fessorPewPew. Tune in this Friday, August 8 at 20:00 UTC for a live interview with one of Albion’s most meticulous minds, only on twitch.tv/albiononline.

[h3]Pr0fessorPewPew[/h3]Class is in session, and Pr0fessorPewPew has the syllabus ready. This Ambassador tackles Albion not just as a game, but something to dissect, much like a professor getting students ready for a big test. His content ranges from detailed PvP guides to deep-dive breakdowns, tackling everything from skill interactions to the ongoing saga of combat balance.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Pew has truly earned the title of Albion’s resident scholar. Each video is packed with sharp analysis, from mechanical breakdowns to patch discussions and full-on theorycrafting sessions. This methodical approach to presenting each topic, complete with structured arguments and clean visuals, even led to the discovery of a skill interaction that some say contributed to Inner Focus being nerfed. (We're not saying it was anyone’s fault, but… )

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Of course, even the most dedicated scholars have layers. One of Pew’s latest videos features a full illustration of his own ingame character, revealing a creative streak as meticulous as any PvP build. Pew also once became the proud owner of the most overpriced Cabbage Soups in Albion history, an achievement that we're sure brings no small amount of pride.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
As an Ambassador, Pew contributes clarity, dedication, and a scholar’s eye to the world of Albion, and these days, that laser focus is set on the Depths, where the grind to stay atop the leaderboard continues. Tune in this Friday for the live keynote and a Paladin vanity bundle giveaway, just don’t be surprised if there’s a pop quiz at the end!
