Dev Update | Airport Upgrades & Flight Planning

[p]Hey bush flyers, [/p][p][/p][p]It's been over a year since we started the re-development for Deadstick, and if you've been following along you'll have seen a bunch of progress we've made to the game, and thank you all for your ongoing support πŸ™Œ
[/p][p]Our aim throughout this re-development process is to keep you all as informed as we can, sharing gameplay, screenshots and a bunch of folks have already been helping us out with some playtesting πŸ‘€

As mentioned in a previous post open playtesting is coming in 2026 and we can't wait for you all to get hands on. For those of you who haven't already signed up, now is the time πŸ‘‡[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Let's recap what we've been working on and what shared throughout November. As usual, please note that all of this is work in progress in-game footage/images.[/p][p][/p][p]If you'll remember back in May we shared some screenshots of a selection of airports & airstrips, and since then we've done a bunch of environment work (including all of our peaks & valley updates) and many of the airports have had major transformations.[/p][p][/p][p]Graves Airstrip May 2025[/p][p]November 2025[/p][p][/p][p]Lawless Airstrip[/p][p]May 2025[/p][p]November 2025[/p][p][/p][p]Cook Airstrip[/p][p]May 2025[/p][p]November 2025[/p][p][/p][p]And say hello to a few airports which we've shown off for the first time! We made it simple to map a route populating the flight plan, once confirmed all the key details can be viewed on your knee board when you begin your journey. Check out the full video below πŸ‘‡ [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]What do you all think about the in-game sounds?! [/p][p]We also gave a look at the various times of day from inside the cockpit, check out the full video below πŸ‘‡[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]

Lastly, we wanted to give a sneaky peak of the latest WIP Deadstick map πŸ—ΊοΈ [/p][p][/p][p]It's December, which means we will be back in January 2026 with our next update. We wish you a happy holidays πŸ˜„ -Mythwright[/p]

Dev Update | Audio

[p]Hey bush flyers! It's our October wrap-up and this month we have focused mainly on adding audio into Deadstick, and it's made a huge difference when we've been jumping into builds.
[/p][p]In our latest Development Milestone we've began implementing HOTAS support, redesigned job cards, improved Cargo interactions with the UI, added an in-game radio and began the initial framework for a public playtest next year! [/p][p][/p][p]As usual, please note that all of this is work in progress in-game footage/images.

We have been able to share a few videos which feature some of the new audio added to the game!
[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]When implementing the audio into Deadstick we wanted to be as authentic as possible, so we rented a plane (Piper PA-18-150 Super Cub) with Chris Cheetham and the crew over at Sound Cuts. We wanted to share some Behind the Scenes pics! [/p][p]
[/p][p]We've had an amazing reaction from the community so far, so please let us know in the comments what you think!

Here are some of the short form videos we've put out across our YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels this month.

Dev Update | Peaks & Valleys

[p]Hey bush flyers! It's our August wrap-up and we've been doing a lot of sight seeing! [/p][p][/p][p]In our latest Development Milestone we've done some work on the weather parameters (balancing based on the specific biome), added navigation aids and associated cockpit instrument upgrades, we've added more varied jobs and began implementing Aircraft audio.[/p][p][/p][p]Playtest sign-ups are still open for folks who may have missed these in previous updates, you can sign-up over on the store page. Dev Update | Fog & Hand Cranking

[p]Hey bush flyers! It's our June wrap-up and we've got some pretty cool things to share. In our latest Development Milestone we've implemented rewards based on cargo type deliveries and riskiness of the weather, plane components have their own individual damage parameters and durability, and we've structured passive missions around world landmarks.
[/p][p] If you read last months update you will know we've opened up playtest sign-ups for future public playtests, we are now at 3.500+ people who have signed-up to join these and provide valuable feedback ahead of launch! πŸ₯³ Our goal is to open this up to everyone when the public playtest is available, so if you haven't already click 'request access' on the Deadstick store page. [/p][p]
As usual, please note that all of this is work in progress in-game footage/images.

We shared a snippet of what flying with heavy fog is like.[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
Sometimes incidents happen and you will need to hand crank your plane back into action to finish that delivery. [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p] Here are some in-game screenshots we've taken recently πŸ“Έ [/p][p]And finally, if you don't already follow us, we have been posting regularly about Deadstick on our video channels, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
