All My Games are now Available on Itch.io!

Squirm, Loop-Loop DX AND Pocket Squirm are now available in a bundle called "The Squirm-Squirm DX Combo Meal" on Itch.io for a pay what you want price!

Take a look here!

I haven't made anything in 4 years.
I have a story to tell, but it's kind of hard to do that when all the games I've made were sloppily written by a late-teen version of my self.

Therefore, I've decided to wrap up all the old stuff into one nice package.
Seems like like a fitting way to be finished with the old and on to the new.
A fresh start, if you will.

Much more is coming soon...

Thank you.

The Rainbow Nexus Impatiently Hungers!

Good evening, goons!
The FINAL update has arrived! This is a biggun' so strap in for a large list of changes!

HERE WE GO:
- Added 50 new levels, these are accessed in the Main Menu by selecting the 'DLC' button and traversing the 'Mirror Tower'.
- Added 2 new bosses in the DLC.
- Updated the Squirm OST to include the new DLC music. (Courtesy of E-Lie)
- Replaced the ice world music with something less awful. The OST has been updated to reflect this change as well. (Courtesy of Amaar Al-Zadjali)
- You can no longer walk off the edge in the [REDACTED] cut-scene.
- Made controls WAY more consistent!
- The game now reads your jump inputs slightly before touching the ground. (Like all good plat-former games should do.)
- Added an achievement for the "new" NPC in [REDACTED].
- Added 3 new achievements for 'The Rainbow Nexus' DLC. (There are 69 achievements now. Nice.)
- New save file system. (A '.squim' file should now be in the Squirm directory!)
- CLOUD SAVES!
- Made jet pack controls less WONKY! (I slowed the descent and ascent of the player, basically.)
- Credits updated. :)
- Probably some other random stuff I'm forgetting.
- Fixed that bug where holding down the move button while dying to the ghosts constantly ramps up their speed past that of light and reality itself. Surely it's a miracle our CPUs have survived such a tremendous breakthrough in physics.

Now I know what you are probably thinking of asking: "Why release the update 2 months early?"
My response is: "It's free early content. WADDYA CRYIN' ABOUT!?!?!"

Squirm: The Rainbow Nexus

March 23rd marks the 3rd anniversary of Squirm!

I can't believe my baby is 3 years old now! Where did all that time go?
I can't work on Squirm forever! Regardless of this fact, let's finish it off with a BANG!
I am releasing one more final update. (Final for REAL this time.)

It shall include:
  • A new world with 20 levels! The absolute HARDEST levels yet!
  • 2 new bosses.
  • New tunes by E-Lie! (The guy who made that space music that everyone loves!)
  • Cloud saves!
  • Better controls. (Specifically the way that the game will now read jump inputs slightly before landing on the ground!)

Until March 23rd, I shall leave you with this image: https://twitter.com/Alpenter/status/1345770474761052160?s=20

See you then!

Pocket Squim the Mobile Game Mini-Prequel now available on Steam + New Game!

The mobile game mini-prequel to Squirm has been ported to Windows, Mac and Linux.
It is now available as a $0.99 DLC to Squirm!
The store page is here!

..but wait there's more...

I made a new full game! It releases on 4/20!
It is called Loop-Loop DX and it will be FREE!
It's a twin-stick shooter and you can check out the store page here!

...am I missing something else...

...

OH!

LEGEND OF BEAN!

Remember that one DLC I was gunna make for this game?
Well, I kinda got SUPER burnt out on platformers and made Loop-Loop DX instead.
Now that Loop-Loop DX was finished a month ago, I began working on Legend of Bean again.
Legend of Bean has become too large and grand, I feel it would be wasted as a DLC to Squirm.
I have come too the conclusion that Legend of Bean will now be it's own standalone game.
Also... it has a name change....
ahem....
Have a look for yourself.

With new games releasing/new projects underway... this will sadly be the final announcement and new content I will add to Squirm. It is done.

Fare thee well friends!

See you around at my newer games/future projects!

(Oh and since you are still here, did you know I have a lovely, small, yet humble Patreon page? It's pretty cool, you should check it out!)

Squirm OST Updated

The soundtrack was updated to utilize Steam's new(ish) soundtrack features!
Pretty cool, right?
