2020 Year in Review

It's a new year, and we would like to start off by thanking each and every one of you for being a part of Ironsight! During 2020, Ironsight changed and accomplished a lot, and we are glad to be able to communicate so clearly and directly with the playerbase in order to continually improve the game.
This year, Wiple Games launched servers in South East Asia, Europe, North America, and South America, and subsequently took control of global publishing responsibilities. We hope to continue to deliver an amazing experience to all of our fans located in different areas all around the globe, and perhaps even launching new servers in regions that show lots of interest and support for Ironsight.
2020 also saw the beginning of Ironsight's partnership with EasyAntiCheat. Since its integration, there has been a very noticeable drop in hacking reports and we hope in 2021 the amount of weekly reports drops even lower. We will continue to work towards eradicating cheaters in the new year and create a fairer and cleaner game for everyone.
Events
We ran our first 3 seasons of Clan Wars in 2020 and learned a lot about what works well and what doesn't. We will take everything we have learned and use it to create more fulfilling and satisfying competitive modes and events in the future. Our Community Guidelines were also released and the first few Ironsight sponsored Community Tournaments were held. We hope to see a lot more events like this in 2021, and a lot more participants!
As for seasonal events, Ironsight saw special updates for Spring, Summer and Winter, along with holiday events for special days such as Valentines Day, White Day, Halloween and Christmas. These events will make a regular appearance every year but I imagine there is room for improvements to make each year and each event more memorable than the last!

Our last Battle Pass was released almost a year ago in February 2020. We felt there was a lot of changes that needed to be made in order to provide a better product for the customers and as a result we haven't released a Battle Pass since then. We want to ensure that if we release a Battle Pass, it has great value for the players, and although nothing is confirmed yet, if we create another Battle Pass we want to ensure it is something that is rewarding, satisfying, and engaging.
The community also had some chances to get involved with special events such as the Skin Design Contest, Video Editing Contest (Check out the winning entry below) and Gun Range UCC Contest. We love it when the community get's involved and it allows everyone to show off their expertise and creativity.
Updates
2020 saw the release of many new weapons in Ironsight, including the QBZ 95, L96A1, Honey Badger, Mx4 Storm, M1014, and OTS-14. These guns came with hundreds of new skins, charms, attachments and costumes for players to customize their characters with. We love creating new content and guns for everyone to get their hands on, and we hope to release more highly-requested guns, costumes and skins in 2021, along with some guns that may be a bit unconventional and unexpected!

We also released the maps Haruyama and Observatory last year and with the help of the everyone we have been able to find and fix many exploits and glitches on all of our maps. Alongside these maps, many new and unique game modes starting with Team Battle Royale, Cyborg Mode, and Gun Deathmatch were developed. We plan to test out and introduce some new mode ideas in the new year, and possibly even re-visit some old ideas and game modes to make them even better!

The game has also received many new features at the request of the it's players including a replay feature, gun range, and ping system. We will continue to improve and perfect these features going into 2021, and we are always looking out for any new features that everyone is asking for.
Future
Moving forward, we have many plans for Ironsight in 2021. Although we can't share all of our plans with you just yet, we want to assure everyone that we review feedback regularly and plan to focus on some of the issues that are constantly brought up by the community. These issues include matchmaking and match balancing, netcode and server performance, and engine optimization. Hopefully, with steady, persistent updates, we will be able to deliver a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone who plays Ironsight . With these updates, plus lots of little surprises along the way, we hope the Ironsight Community can grow even more in the future.
Thank you again to all of our fans and everyone who supports us. We cannot wait to show you what we have planned for 2021!
