Monthly Devlog #7

Hi, this is Scofa. My vital signs are stable and I'd like to show you what we've been doing this month.
We were unfortunately unable to show off our new content as Taipei Game Show was postponed due to the epidemic. That's fine though, because health and safety always come first. That way, we'll be able to enjoy new games and new food.
I hope we can soon put this epidemic behind us.

Over the past month, we've been shifting our focus to the story parts of the game. Because of potential spoilers, the next few devlogs will probably be a bit shorter, so please look forward to the next update in the summer!

Building on the Scythe Overhaul in the last devlog, here's a new necromancer's scythe.
You can now summon an angry group of scarecrows to lead the charge.

There will be a water level in the next chapter!
You can press Shift + Down to descend rapidly in the water.
That function was actually there all along, but this felt like the right time to reveal it.

The water is also teeming with all sorts of creatures.
For example, the piranha will charge and try to rip you to shreds.

The chainfish will attempt to surround the player with its long body and cut you with its sharp scales.

This is a flying icebird. It'll switch between flying attacks and ground attacks depending on how the player is positioned.
It's very difficult to defeat while in the air, so try to bring it down.

Leeches can now climb up walls and cross complicated terrain to attach itself to you.
That other leech has the cramps. We'll fix that soon.

That's all for our recent progress and thanks for reading!
