Fishery Build 88 is live!

[p]Hello everyone![/p][p]Sorry for the delay for this update. I had a kitchen accident and I had to get some stitches. I have only been able to use one hand so I have focused on fixing code bugs instead of doing art content (I need 2 hands to make new fish). My injury is slowly getting better and I'll be able to get some good art content into April's update.[/p][p]Some bugs were fixed that players pointed out to us. Light colours not correctly being loaded after being customized by players. live bearing fish only produced female offspring. There were also a lot changes made to some code that appears to cause problems for only a few players in specific situations.[/p][p]A more recent version of the unity engine is now being used. This might help fix some errors that we don't have control over such as problems with the unity engine itself. It also allows us to use a more recent version of their error reporting tools.[/p][p]A debug build of fishery is now available to install. This is a special version that displays the errors and log files on screen and most importantly allows us to see more detailed error messages such as the exact line of code number where the error is occurring. If you are experiencing errors that are not able to be resolved then we recommend running the debug build of the game. You should see some red text appear on screen when the error occurs. This data will automatically be sent to us so we can much better analyze and fix the problems. This means that you don't need to manually send us any error messages that appear.[/p][p]To switch to the debug build in the Steam client, right-click on the game from the library page and select "Properties". In the properties window select the Game Versions & Betas tab on the left.[/p][p]Select "public_debug_branch" in the right pane. Then you should be able to download/update the game as normal. You will know if it has worked because when you run the game there will be some white text in the lower right corner of the window that reads "Development Build"[/p][p]Unless I have another accident in the kitchen there will be an update in late April with some new fish and other items.[/p][p]The Fishery Team[/p]

Fishery Build 87 is live!

[p]Hello everyone![/p][p][/p][p]Our latest build is on steam and available for all of you play. It consists entirely of new guppies.[/p][p][/p][p]Upper Sword Tail:[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Spear Tail:[/p][p][/p][p]Spade Tail:[/p][p][/p][p]Fan Tail:[/p][p][/p][p]Double Sword Tail:[/p][p][/p][p]Delta Tail:[/p][p][/p][p]Lower Sword Tail:[/p][p][/p][p]We can cross guppies off of our to-do for the rest of the early access period.[/p][p][/p][p]March's update will also contain new art content too, but it will be more varied. There will be some new decorative items, food, utilities etc. We will probably focus on art content for a while since a lot of time over the past year has been spent on the user interface and other technical aspects of the game. There will of course be some code tweaks here and there and of course bug fixes.[/p][p][/p][p]We wish you all a very good end to the week.[/p][p][/p][p]The Fishery Team[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Fishery Build 86 is live!

[p]Hello Everyone![/p][p][/p][p]Build 86 is live and it fixes some major issues with the water chemistry system. The biggest issue that has been fixed is the chaotic nature of the water chemistry. It was too reactive and most aquariums needed a lot player intervention in order to stay healthy. It was also not very fun to play. This has now been changed and everything is a lot less chaotic and more predictable. Players should now be able to add fish, plants, food, etc into their aquariums without everything going badly soon thereafter. The numbers will of course be tweaked in every update until it is as close to perfect as possible, but from now on it should be a lot less frustrating to play.[/p][p][/p][p]More subcategory tags have been introduced back into the shop ui and the way that tags filter items has been changed to produce better results.[/p][p][/p][p]The item duplicator has been added back into the game. It's icon can be found in the bottom right corner of the ui. It duplicates every item that you have selected as long as you have enough money. This should make decorating your aquariums a lot less tedious.[/p][p][/p][p]There have also been some tweaks made to how fish swim and group together. Quite often the fry and juvenile fish clump together near the centre of the aquarium. This should not happen anymore, they will instead explore their habitat.[/p][p][/p][p]The next planned update will happen in February. It will include some more changes that are based on player feedback, some new colourful fish, bug fixes, and quality of life changes.[/p][p][/p][p]We wish you all a great weekend![/p][p][/p][p]The Fishery Team[/p]

Fishery Build 85 is live!

[p]Hello everyone![/p][p]Build 85 is uploaded. It is another small update. It fixes a bug where some male tetras and male guppies never get become fertile enough to breed. This update also enables specific species of fish to give birth to live young instead of laying eggs. All mollies, platies, and guppies in the game have this ability.[/p][p]More updates are coming soon. I'll be back on the forums to answer all the comments soon too.[/p][p]We wish you all a very good weekend.[/p][p]The Fishery Team[/p]
