Swords 'n Magic and Stuff is NOW LIVE in Early Access

Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff is NOW LIVE! I can’t believe we’ve made it to Early Access. This couldn’t have happened without your support.

Swords ‘n Magic has been developed alongside its community since the very beginning - on Twitch, on Discord, and now here on Steam. Our community has always given their input on every aspect of the game. We feel that this is the only way for Swords ‘n Magic to rise to its full potential - hand in hand with the community, with your feedback and support the whole way through and we can’t thank you enough for it. This is why Early Access was an obvious and easy choice for us.

Speaking of Early Access, here’s the full list of all the features you can expect at launch:

- One large open world zone to explore
- Character creation and customization
- Melee combat
- Ranged combat
- Dual wielding (yes, even shields)
- Quests (plenty of these)
- Shops
- Banking
- Factions to join and progress in
- Mounts
- Online co-op multiplayer with friends
- Player duels
- Mining
- Woodcutting
- Weapon upgrading
- Gliding

You will have seen many of these in our post yesterday, but we want to be clear about what you can expect on day one. Please note these features may be updated or changed throughout Early Access.

Moving forward, you should be excited for the upcoming content patches. Here’s a teaser for some content that is not yet in the game, but you can expect in an early patch or two:

- Player housing. Buy your own little patch of Tirawyn, build a home, and customize it with furniture however you please.
- Crafting. We have some basic resource gathering in right now, but we’ll be expanding this with a proper crafting system in an upcoming patch.
- Mac support for our Apple loving friends.

Now, as an Early Access game, we’re expecting a few bugs here and there. The bug report form will be readily available from the in-game pause menu, which will open a submission form in your browser. Our internal testing team is doing amazing work, and we’re confident the core experience is just about bug free, but with a wider audience we expect the odd snag to pop up. Any assistance you offer here will make the game that much better.

And of course, we’d love to hear your feedback on the game, so let us know via Discord - we keep a close eye on the #ideas channel there. Our Discord server is also a great place to find people to party up with. Come make friends, add them on Steam, and invite them to join your world. And if you’re streaming or creating video coverage of Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff, please share a link there as well.

One last thing to mention: we’ll be live streaming developer commentary over on Twitch in about two hours from now. If you have any questions for the devs or you’d like to see what it’s like behind the scenes in game development, drop by and say hello. Hopefully we’re able to maintain our composure as we deal with all the excitement of launch - it’s been a wild ride so far.

Once again, thank you so much for your support. If you enjoy the game, leaving a review makes a huge difference. We can’t wait to begin this journey with you all!

Since the very start, Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff has been built hand-in-hand with the community, live on Twitch. These development streams aren’t going anywhere, so if you’d like to check in on the progress of the game or even just fancy a peek behind the curtain, make sure to drop in and say hi. We’ll be streaming some developer commentary right as the game launches, too.

Now that launch is so very near, our Discord server is a great place to find people to party up with. Come make friends and invite them to join your world. Discord is also the place to share a link if you’re planning on streaming or creating video coverage of Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff.
