Age Of Empires 2: Definitive Edition's Dynasties Of India DLC adds lots of elephants

Our Nate (RPS in peace) is a big fan of Age Of Empires 2, calling it the best strategy game ever made and, in his Definitive Edition review saying it was still that, "but now, there's a lot more of it."

Well, there's more of it again, now, with the release of the Dynasties Of India DLC. If you want to watch an elephant headbutt a pyramid until it bursts, watch the trailer below.

It is time to explore history in all of its epic moments – the newest DLC is now live! Dynasties of India – the exciting third expansion for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is available now! There is so much to delve into with three unique civilizations, exciting campaigns, and a long list of achievements to conquer.

The Dynasties of India Event

As a bonus, starting TODAY at 4pm PT (23:00 UTC) the Dynasties of India Event will be available with some fun new challenges and rewards! Grab the nearest armored elephants for battle – you won’t want to miss out on all the fun with the newest DLC!

New Rewards!

NOW through May 13th, complete the in-game tasks within the time limit to unlock exclusive rewards!

Day ~

🎯 Sign into Xbox Live.
🏆 Unlocks the new campaign characters profile icon.
💾 *Required* if you want to save any rewards unlocked during the event!

Each of the following challenges must be unlocked in order and on separate days:

Day 1

🔒 Play a match as the Hindustani, Gurjaras, Dravidians or Bengalis.
🧱 Unlocks a graphical mod where Mounted units leave fire footsteps in the snow terrain.

Day 2

🔒 Train 20 Camel Rider line units in a single Skirmish or Multiplayer match.
🏆 Unlocks a profile icon of an Imperial Camel wearing a Mughal helmet.

Day 3

🔒 Train 30 Armored Elephants in any number of Skirmish or Multiplayer matches.
🧱 Unlocks a graphical mod which grants Battle Elephants a menacing customization.

Day 4

🔒 Train 40 Indian Elite Unique Units in any number of Skirmish or Multiplayer matches.
🧱 Unlocks a graphical mod to decorate your Town Center with an “Elephant acrobatics” statue of three elephants balancing on top of each other.

Day 5

🔒 Raze 30 buildings with Armored Elephants.
🏆 Unlocks a profile icon of an Angry Siege Elephant with burning buildings behind him.
