Red Bull Wololo IV: How you can watch the Main Event

The epic conclusion of Red Bull Wololo IV is upon us, with the Main Event of the 1v1 Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition competition set to be played over the weekends of 19-20 and 25-27 June.

With players doing battle in a custom version of Empire Wars that skips the first stages of a traditional match to begin in the Feudal Age, Red Bull Wololo IV sees the best of the best showcasing their strategic knowledge in their quest for world domination.

The Road to the Finals

The global tournament’s open qualifiers, which were played across two parts, saw fierce competitors MbL, dogao, Sitaux, and JorDan_AoE claim victory in the first weekend of action. They were soon joined by Vivi, Nicov, Valas, and SongSong, with all eight competitors now given the opportunity to clash with the top players from Red Bull Wololo III in the 16-player Main Event: Gan “Mr_Yo” Yangfan, Ørjan “TheViper” Larsen, Hamzah “Hera” El-Baher, Kai “Liereyy” Kallinger, Darko “DauT” Dautovic, Hoang “ACCM” Huy, Dmitriy “Vinchester” Smirnov and Ville “Villese” Jämsä. With competition this tough, there will be an epic fight to be crowned champion.

Raising the stakes even higher is the event series’ overarching narrative, with each event seeing players fighting to win control of a castle that has a library containing knowledge required for world domination. In Red Bull Wololo I and II, players fought for control in a Western civilization, while Red Bull Wololo III represented Asian Civilization. At Red Bull Wololo IV, players will take on the role of Viking warriors in a Nordic-themed event. But who will come out on top at the Main Event of Red Bull Wololo IV?

How You Can Watch the Main Event

You can find out by catching every minute of the Red Bull Wololo IV Main Event live on the official Red Bull Twitch and YouTube channels, hosted by legendary casters including Nili_AoE, MembTV, T90Official, Dave_AoE for the English stream, with Mario Ovalle and Nacho_AoE for the Spanish stream.

Age of Empires 2: DE co-op has come to the RTS game's public beta

Exciting news, Age of Empires 2 fans - co-op has now come to the RTS game's public testing grounds. So, as of today, you'll get to try out a bunch of historical battles with a buddy for the first time, with the feature's full launch in the live game to follow with AoE2: DE's next update.

The beta - or Public Update Preview, as it's called in AoE terms - in now available via Steam. and gives you the chance to dip into five of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition's historical battles in co-op mode, which the team at Forgotten Empires "specifically selected because of how much fun they create as co-op scenarios". These are Tours, Hastings, Honfoglalas, Kurikara, and Bapheus.

In some ways these will be the same campaigns you'll already know, but there have been key updates to adjust them for the new mode and give them a fresh spin, too. For example, "all AI players have been updated to now fight against two opponents instead of one," so you'll "need to coordinate to conquer".

How and Where to Provide Feedback:

While Co-Op is in PUP, you’ll be able to provide feedback in our normal “Public Update Preview – June” Steam forum, located here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/813780/discussions/8/

*NOTICE: you must be logged into Steam to see and contribute to the forums above.

What to Expect from Co-Op:

Co-Op Historical Battles and Campaigns bring a cooperative Multiplayer experience to the vivid story-driven Campaign content you’ve been playing for so many years, making it feel pretty new and different from how you’ve experienced it all up to this point. We’re genuinely thrilled to see how you like it, and also use your feedback to improve what’s there before releasing all of the remaining content that’s waiting for you!

You can expect all the same Campaign quality you know, and you get to bring a friend:

 • Story-driven historical narratives and objectives.
 • That same Age of Empires II gameplay you know.
 • In-game dialogue (fully voiced in all supported languages).
 • Beautifully crafted maps.
 • Additionally, all AI players have been updated to now fight against two opponents instead of one. You’ll need to coordinate to conquer!

Good luck!
