A short story time from us!
When we established Creepy Jar back in 2016, we wanted to create a company that would make horror games - just take a look at one of the earliest concept arts from us:
Our vision changed rather quickly, and in August 2019, we launched our first game in Early Access: Green Hell - an open-world survival simulator taking place in the uncharted Amazon jungle.
A keen eye will find the horror elements still left in the key visual for Green Hell ;)

Since its full release in September 2019, we’ve supported Green Hell with over 21 Content Updates: we’ve added online co-op mode, an additional storyline, added a bunch of new mechanics you’ve requested and new features that we thought would be valuable additions to the ultimate survival experience.
We’ve had so much fun not only while we were creating them, but also when we were looking at your reactions in your reviews, comments, and hours of content you’ve made with the game.

Now, before us stands another great milestone in our studio history - a brand new game, a completely new IP in a sci-fi theme. Although it's not a spiritual successor to Green Hell, it sure contains the Creepy Jar survival essence for those still hungry for extreme experiences.

StarRupture is a first-person open world base-building game with advanced combat and tons of exploration. It’s a fusion of our experience and lessons learned from creating Green Hell, as well as the valuable feedback we gathered throughout the years from you, our Community.
StarRupture will feature both single-player and online co-op from the start in its Early Access debut. So no matter if you prefer the lone wolf experience or help from your buddies
(watch out for the friendly fire, though!), you will be set for an unforgettable adventure while trying to survive on this sublime and ever-changing planet, extracting and managing resources, creating your complex industrial system, and fighting off hordes of alien monsters.
We’ll be more than thrilled if you try it out in action when it launches on Steam on January 6th, 2026.
No matter if we’ll see you either in the heart of the Amazonian Rainforest or on Arcadia-7, a mysterious alien planet, we hope that you will have fun while playing our games, and collect memories worth telling to your closest ones.
