Adventurers!

Two weeks passed since the last Dev Notes!

We are working hard to polish the mechanics within our Coop work. The current issue involves spawn rates of items for all players in a session.


Keep those bug reports coming!

Reminder for those reporting bugs: Before you write a new thread/Discord post, please check if there wasn’t something similar posted recently! Keeping the same issues or similar issues in the same thread will help us establish the severity/scope of the issue.

When new issues appear out of the blue, remember to verify steam files and reload the game to ensure it isn't a temporary glitch. If the issue persists report it in already existing or new thread in bug reports on Steam, Bug Channel on Discord. How to write a bug report:
- write how to reproduce the issue
- include as much relevant information as possible: Is it survival or story mode? Which difficulty? How old is the save? Add screenshots!

If the issue occurs only on one of your saves and no one had the same problem, send us an email with your saved game.

What issues we are aware of:
-Bamboo Bridge is already built on some saves
-Rain inside shelters (only visual issue)
-Mud mixer resets after walking away
-Issue adding items to Stack over Stack limit, creating secondary issue in Storage.
-When Player places a ghost on top of a Mud Roof it gets properly cut off under it.
-Once Player inserts items into the ghost those parts of the ghost are visible and have collision.
-Coal stays in the air after destroying the Frame under the Mud Charcoal Furnace.
-Player cannot shoot through Stands, Smokers, Racks and Walls.
-Sometimes Sanity tribesmen are spawned in T pose.
-Weird camera position return after vomiting.
-Camera looks up when Player goes to sleep.
-No Fever or Poison reduction info in the Info Log and Effects of Consumption.
-Cannot sort Storage Box.
-Maggots become huge when their decay timer runs out.
-Igniting a torch with low stamina ignites it after stamina regenerates.

We hope you had a great time with your New Year festivities and are now properly rested! 😉

We are revved up and moving ahead on Co-op at full speed.

Lately we've been seeing many questions about the upcoming cooperative mode: mainly about sleeping and co-op story mode.

Sleeping: When a player sleeps time will not speed up- energy will rise but much slower. Only when all Players lay down at the same time, the time will speed up to the timing you're familiar with from singleplayer.

Sandbox Survival mode is the only mode that will have cooperative gameplay. The overall balance to that mode will be adjusted so that the game is sufficiently challenging to engage all players.

Patch: V.1.3.2 Hotfix Notes

Hey everyone.

Hotfix Patch: V.1.3.2 is live now!

  • Fixed – Puma/Jaguar runs around trying to reach Player that is standing on a higher floor
  • Fixed – Animal droppings spawn rate is too small
  • Fixed – Storage Box on higher floors have collision under the Roof
  • Fixed – Bamboo Fishing Rod sticks out above the Roof if placed on Weapon Rack under the Roof
  • Fixed – Cannot Place Roofs above Weapon Rack
  • Fixed – Bamboo Dryer/Smoker/Bamboo Smoker can be placed under a Roof
  • Fixed – Constructions placed on Roof can block snapping of Frames on the sides
  • Fixed – Stuck in crouch if overweight happens in crouch mode
  • Fixed – Caiman can kill Player standing on the roof
  • Fixed – Items left on the Roof can drop through it when Player moves far away and returns
  • Fixed – Wall cannot be placed again after destroying Mud Fireside Wall in the middle Frame after reloading
  • Fixed – Cannot interact with water in rivers/waterfalls in area next to Airport
  • Fixed – Leaf roofs covered half of Shed on the floor
  • Fixed – Items from Storage Box can sometimes disappear
  • Fixed – Mud Ceiling of Shed that is placed above ground level has too small raincutter
  • Fixed – Hard to insert topmost Banana Leaf into Banana Roof on Shelter built on a floor
  • Fixed – Player is able to stack items inside Storage Box on top of each other after rotating them
  • Fixed – Items disappear when a stack of them is thrown into full Storage Box
  • Fixed – 3 balance spawners in the air near Grappling Hook
  • Fixed – When raining fire goes out under roof placed only on higher floor

  • Fixed - Grill Rack snapped to Small Fire with Stone Ring stops working after game reload
  • Fixed - Keybind for Plowing is hardcoded to Q
