Asus Aura Sync Update - Notes

Hey everyone.

Asus Aura Sync Update is live! We would like to thank you all for your support, bug reports and feedback. See you in Green Hell!





  • Added support for special lighting effects for Asus hardware supported by Aura Sync technology

  • Added a Troubleshooting menu into Main and Pause menus





  • Fixed - Items picked up from environment could duplicate in another Player’s inventory
  • Fixed - Brews giving food poisoning only caused vomit without giving status effect
  • Fixed - Achievement for completing tutorial unlocked after cutscene(some Players still have issues with movies crashing their game, that’s why we changed that so they can unlock the achievement)
  • Fixed - There was a typo in Language select for 'Portugês' instead of 'Português' in Brasil Portuguese
  • Fixed - Steam popup for Gardener achievement showed up at 7 instead of 6/12 plants

EDIT:
We've noticed that some of you found a workaround for the crash occuring after recent Green Hell update by deleting the AuraLayerManager.dll file.
Even if you delete AuraLayerManager.dll file, it will be downloaded again every time game is updated.
We've contacted Asus regarding this issue and we've been informed that such error may occur when using an outdated version of Asus Aura software.
Installing newest Asus Aura firmware should solve the problem:
Update Aura to the latest version (1.07.79_V2.1). Update can be found here
Upgrade to the new platform Armoury Crate. Upgrade can be found here
If neither of these methods worked for you please let us know by reporting it to [email protected].
We have to make sure that this issue is contained only to Players that use Asus Aura so we kindly ask you to provide information on wether you use any Aura Sync software or not when reporting this issue to us.

Sorry it's been a while since we've been able to post some Developer notes!
Like many other game developers, the health situation with Covid-19 has greatly impacted where and how we work, to the point of adjusting the time frame for some of our updates & patches, and our focus has been on addressing issues & keeping to our roadmap ( as closely as possible!)

Thank you for your support- it's because of you that we have reached ONE MILLION COPIES SOLD. We hope you all enjoy exploring Green Hell as much as we enjoy creating it.

We hope you didn't miss any of our recently released updates!

We have a large content patch slated for the future with an eye to release in summer/autumn, but our priority is quality - so be sure to keep an eye on the announcements channel in case we run into any delays.

There will be so many new things in that content patch - I can hardly list them all.. plus, yanno, secret.

  • Fixed - Potential fix for crash that caused infinite saving in multiplayer games
  • Fixed - Potential fix that disables debug for griefers
  • Fixed - Backpack may close itself when using fire starting tool on uneven terrain
  • Fixed - Client gets stuck in PreDream if they join at the exact moment Host is making Ayahuasca
  • Fixed - Attempting to place constructions when rapidly attempting to open notepad can crash the game
  • Fixed - Breaking snare trap while an animal is caught in it results in a crash
  • Fixed - Joining back into a session with a baited fishing rod selected results in a crash
  • Fixed - Block after drinking water during vomiting
  • Fixed - Tribal weapons disappear when trying to take them from backpack

New Stands - Update

Stands Update is live! We would like to thank you all for your support, bug reports and feedbacks. See you in Green Hell!





  • New Stand types - Banana/Palm Leaf, Small Stone, Big Stone, Bamboo Log, Bamboo Long Stick, Bamboo Stick, Rope.
  • New Bed type - Banana Leaf Bed.
  • Singleplayer Survival saves can now be converted to Multiplayer. This action is irreversible so do it with certainty. This should take care of the issue some Players had with their saves being changed to Singleplayer.
  • Saves can now be deleted. This action is also irreversible.




  • Fixed - Potential fix for spawn in debug scene that some Players encountered
  • Fixed - Possible crash when transferring a single item multiple times to the crafting table when holding Alt
  • Fixed - Some construction ghosts had improper starting rotation when taken out from Notebook
  • Fixed - On loaded saves respawn point of Player that saved is set to save point
  • Fixed - Short Wall and Short Bamboo Wall were constructed from long sticks
  • Fixed - Stand Triggers are not visible at all times
  • Fixed - Player stuck in Crouch after changing key bindings to any other key
  • Fixed - Construction ghosts selected from Notebook on the ground can be placed outside Roof boundary
  • Fixed - Players can bypass the tutorial warning by playing Survival beforehand
  • Fixed - 'Take max' should be below 'Take 3' option in Stands' expand menu
  • Fixed - Host is respawned near Client after reload
  • Fixed - Player can stop mid-air by harvesting an item
  • Fixed - Player cannot shoot through Stands, Smokers, Racks and Walls
  • Fixed - Obsolete expand menu on Stands trigger when Player has max of item type in inventory/hands
  • Fixed - Max item count shows up twice in infolog when picking up Heavy Objects from Stand
  • Fixed - Maggots are visible from under worn honey dressing when wearing it on a infected wound
  • Fixed - Log Stand has obsolete option in expand menu
  • Fixed - Bone Knife is placed half in a bucket half in floor
  • Fixed - Water Filter doesn`t collect rainwater like other constructions
  • Fixed - Plant from balance spawner does not have receive damage third-person animation
