We’re shedding the mythological shackles of the game’s previous title and proudly announcing a new name perfectly suited for our ambitious sci-fi setting!


Hello Players!

Earlier this year, as part of the summer edition of the PC Gaming Show, we revealed our next game - a unique mix of base building, exploration, resource management, and combat on an alien planet torn by a catastrophic cycle of destruction caused by its life-giving star.

Now - we’re excited to reveal the game’s new title—one that we feel is much more representative of the unique world we’re creating—say hi to “StarRupture”.

In addition to this news, we’re launching our devlog series about the game. In the first part, we want to show you a deeper look into the name change and everything that the team’s been working on since the game’s reveal. Check it out below:

As we work towards StarRupture’s Early Access PC launch, we will release further devlogs in the coming months for exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at the development process.

Everything from production milestones to sneak peeks at some of the game’s many mechanics, enemies, and mysteries are all on the table.



We’re excited to continue sharing with you more updates on StarRupture, as much as we were focused on doing so with Green Hell. Be assured that we’re still supporting Green Hell with new & free content updates - we recently released Update #18 Fortifications, which is the prelude to our next, awesome update - but more details about it will be posted soon!

• The game no longer crashes at the beginning of the dream sequences in Story Mode
  

• We're aware of the issue with rendering happening on some configurations. We're investigating this issue and we're working on fixing it as soon as possible.

We’re happy to announce our brand-new 18th content update to Green Hell titled “Fortifications”, which is AVAILABLE NOW to all Green Hell players on Steam!



If you remember our latest roadmap, the next big update will be based on the fight against the enemy tribes. During its development, we discovered it was hard to imagine how to defend a base without proper defensive structures.
That is why with this newest update we’re bringing new constructions that will help you in working on new defense strategies. Are you annoyed that anyone can enter and even try to destroy your cherished base? Wait no more!



[h2]Fences[/h2]

The first of the new upgrades we’re bringing live is the ability to build simple fences made from wood or bamboo. They are not the most durable of the bunch but they are a good choice if you’re short of supplies.

[h2]Palisades[/h2]

If you prefer to build something even more solid and sturdy - we got you covered! With wooden and bamboo palisades you can wall yourself away from most of the dangers that await you in the wilderness.

[h2]Gates[/h2]

No base feels complete without a proper gate! Select from wooden and bamboo gates - remember to close them, you don’t want to get caught in a draught!

[h2]Lookout platforms[/h2]

Do you like to lurk on your uninvited guests? You can always wait on them with a warm soup or a drawn bow on the new ramp construction - you know, it’s always better to have a higher ground!

[h2]Enemies AI improvements[/h2]

If you like to play hide and seek with enemies - it won’t be so easy now, as tribesmen will be able to enter low structures built by the player. So watch out - they may get to you while you are on platforms floating on water or the ones built on the ground. We are very curious about what you think about this change, let us know on our Discord channel.

This is just a prelude to what we’re cooking up for Green Hell… In addition to all the new content added to Green Hell with Update #18, we’ve implemented general optimization fixes that will broaden our horizons for further development of the game.
