R30 Patch #3 / Hotfix

=== CryoFall v1.30.7.5 (R30 Patch #3 / Hotfix) ===

Patch notes:

Fixes:
- Fixed a server exploit that allowed to craft PvP-only items (e.g. bombs) by using a client mod on a PvE server. The server has proper checks now to verify that player has the necessary technology (previously the server only checked whether the crafting ingredients are available).
- Hoverboard was unable to pass through cramped areas inside bases after the previous patch
- Some entries of the servers list didn't refresh when pressing Refresh All button

If you're hosting a community server, it's highly recommended to install this patch. Please follow this guide to update your server: https://wiki.atomictorch.com/CryoFall/Server/Setup#Server_update.2Fupgrade_to_new_version

R30 Patch #2

=== CryoFall v1.30.7.3 (R30 Patch #2) ===

While we're working on the next major update (that will bring more endgame content and proper single-player experience/integrated local server besides plenty of other improvements and content), we also wanted to make many fixes and quality of life improvements available immediately to you with this patch.

Patch notes:

Improvements:
- PvE: Large circle barrier will appear during the event preparation timer (20 minutes). It will prevent players from getting closer to the boss spawn area (this way it's no longer possible to camp the boss spawn). Players and vehicles that are located inside this barrier during the event announcement will be automatically despawned to prevent them from getting stuck there
- Drone control: Improved target selection—you no longer need to point precisely on the object that you wish to mine
- Greatly improved the servers list loading speed and reliability. It will also immediately prioritize the selected tab to load (e.g., when a modded servers list is selected, its entries are loaded first instead of waiting for other tabs to finish loading). The server Refresh button is also always available now
- PvE: When a mech is destroyed (such as during the boss battle), its dropped remains (cargo, weapons) will be object-locked to the last pilot and its party (other players will be unable to take these items)
- Medical cooldown notification displays a list of actions that are not available during the cooldown
- Updated UI library NoesisGUI and network library LiteNetLib to the latest versions (fixes and optimizations)

Changes:
- Pragmium power plant: Increased the power output of each pragmium fuel rod from 8 to 10 EU/s
- Changed how the server items drop rate applied to gemstones, gold, etc. Increasing the server rate will increase the probability of obtaining such items instead of increasing the output amount. For instance, playing with x5 items rate will provide a single gemstone 5 times more often (in the previous version it provided x5 gemstones but as rare as with the default drop rate)
- PvP: Increased structure relocation distance (in PvE it's already much larger)
- Farm plots cannot be placed under other structures
- Local server: Removed PvE boss event preparation timer as it's useful only for multiplayer PvE servers
- In faction-owned land claims, only players with the land claim management permission will be able to complete the structure blueprints

Server settings:
- Added console command to kick/ban the whole faction (useful for servers like CryoSmall and CryoFive)
- Access lists (whitelist/blacklist) now moved to the SettingsServer.xml file to provide persistence between the savegames
- Introduced separate item droplist rate for Space debris and Meteorite: DropListItemsCountMultiplier.ObjectMeteorite, DropListItemsCountMultiplier.ObjectSpaceDebris
- LandClaimsPerLevel server rate limit reworked to remove the lower limit of at least 1 land claim per faction level
- Limited the default max door owners number to 5

Fixes:
- Switching to a protected PvP server ("no-mods") while having any UI active mods sometimes resulted in broken UI
- PvE: Base guests can access doorbells and toilets (no permission required!)
- PvP: Faction-owned land claim continues to show "under attack" status after the raid is over
- PvP: Turrets were able to attack players on hoverboards that are behind a wall below
- Japanese translation: Remaining status effect duration didn't fit under the status effect icon
- Leaving a mech while firing its weapon sometimes resulted in firing the new weapon from the hotbar (it was visible only for other players)
- Fixed various crashes when scrolling the servers list

If you're hosting a community server, you need to install this patch to allow the updated client to connect. Please follow this guide to update your server.

If you cannot connect to a community server because it's not updated, you can switch to the previous client version in Steam Client. Click with the right mouse button on the game in your Steam library, open Properties, select BETAS tab, and choose "legacy-r30-v0.30.6.8" in the dropdown menu.

Official PvP wipe

We would like to remind you that all the official PvP servers will have a scheduled wipe on Friday, June 18th.

Wipe time: 1 PM by GMT/UTC time (as usual).
For your convenience, here is the local time in the primary time zones we have:
• 8 AM by Central US (CDT, GMT-5 summer time)
• 3 PM by Central EU (CET, GMT+2 summer time)
• 16:00 by Russia/Moscow (GMT+3)
• 21:00 by China/Beijing (GMT+8)
• 10 AM by Argentina/Brazil (GMT-3)
CryoSmall & CryoFive wipe
As an additional note, featured PvP community servers CryoSmall North America and CryoFive Europe are wiping this Saturday (19th June, 12 PM GMT/UTC). These featured community PvP servers offer the most balanced experience for PvP players. Survey, Roadmap, and official PvP wipe
Survey
With the successful CryoFall release on Steam, we've received a tremendous amount of players' feedback in various areas of the game! Based on that we've prepared a formal survey that will help us better put it all together and define where we want to take the game in the future.

We want to make sure that we understand what's most important from the players' perspective so we can assign priorities and deliver the most requested improvements first.

Please follow this link to participate in the survey:
https://... Thank you very much, everyone! The survey is now closed. It really helped us have a clearer picture of what people think about certain aspects of the game and the future the game will take!

The survey should only take a few minutes to complete. We are using Google Forms, so please note that you need to have a Google account as this is the only way we can ensure that the form will not be spammed and we will have valid replies.
Roadmap
We've updated the public roadmap to include our short-term plans and expand the number of ideas that we're considering to include in the future updates. Please vote for features that you wish to see the most!
Official PvP servers wipe
As you may know, all official PvP servers have regular wipes to ensure a level playing field and offer a fresh economy with each new round. It's a major event that brings a lot of players to compete with each other, starting from a common point.

We would like to remind you that all the official PvP servers have a scheduled wipe this week—Thursday, May 27th. Usually, the wipe happens on Fridays, but this time we know a lot of players are eagerly awaiting this wipe, so it will happen one day earlier!

Additionally, official PvP servers' wipe interval will be changed to every 3 weeks (previously it was 4 weeks). With this wipe, we will also deploy experimental rebalancing changes through server rates adjustment to make it a more balanced experience where you don't need to spend as much time gathering resources to craft your equipment and build sturdy walls while also reducing the risk of getting raided by bombs (their damage will be decreased though it will be easier to craft them due to higher resource rates). These changes will provide more dynamic gameplay.

Wipe time: 1 PM by GMT/UTC time (as usual).
For your convenience, here is the local time in the primary time zones we have:
• 8 AM by Central US (CDT, GMT-5 summer time)
• 3 PM by Central EU (CET, GMT+2 summer time)
• 16:00 by Russia/Moscow (GMT+3)
• 21:00 by China/Beijing (GMT+8)
• 10 AM by Argentina/Brazil (GMT-3)
• 10 PM by Japan and South Korea (GMT+9)

Important note: Official Asia 1 PvP and Asia 2 PvP servers will be united after the wipe in favor of a single Asia PvP server. This way we expect a larger population on a single server in this region which should offer a more exciting experience rather than having two servers with smaller populations on each. Also, we're happy to announce that we have deployed a new Anti-DDoS solution and expect that Asia servers can withstand any attacks smoothly.
CryoSmall & CryoFive wipe
As an additional note, a popular PvP community server CryoFive NA wiped last Saturday.
CryoSmall NA and CryoFive Europe will have a wipe this Saturday (29th May, 12 PM GMT/UTC). These featured community PvP servers offer the most balanced experience for PvP players. With a strict limit of 2 (CryoSmall) or 5 (CryoFive) players per team (no alliances permitted) and reputable administration enforcing this rule, you can have peace of mind that the server provides equal opportunities for everyone to compete. Don't forget to join our Official Discord server to be aware of all the news and updates. We post a lot of upcoming content, features, and other interesting things there regularly and you can chat with us directly if you have any feedback: https://discordapp.com/invite/cryofall

R30 Patch #1

=== CryoFall v1.30.6.8 (R30 Patch #1) ===

Patch notes:

Local server changes:
— x2 crafting speed by default
— x2 faster growth speed for vegetables by default
— The bosses and other world events will start running much earlier after the server launch
— Disabled automatic despawn of offline player character and vehicles

Please note that the local server settings and rates can be adjusted by editing the ServerRates.config file located in this folder: "\AtomicTorchStudio\CryoFall\" (stop the local server first)

Other changes:
— Implemented dynamic growth rate scaling system for trees, bushes, herbs, and other vegetation (except farm plants) to make them grow up to x2 faster depending on the online players number on the server. It will reduce the shortage of wood and herbs, and also fix the major shortage of rubber trees on highly populated PvP servers
— Wild rubber trees growth rate increased x1.5 (doesn't apply to trees planted inside the land claims)
— Greatly improved respawn of Rustshroom (an orange mushroom). Previously it spawned in a relatively low amount as it was significantly displaced by Penny bun mushroom spawn
— PvE: offline player characters located outside their owned base will be despawned in 1 hour instead of 4 hours. The same applies to their vehicles
— PvE: offline player characters standing on the land claim that they don't own will be despawned in 10 minutes. The same applies to their vehicles
— The game will stop nagging you with "Press [Enter] to start using chat"—it will disappear after a minute, but please note that you can just press Enter and select that you don't wish to use the chat (this is a persistent setting per server)

Fixes:
— Random crash related to the network library when browsing the servers list

If you're hosting a community server it's recommended to install this patch.
