We started a new anti-cheat detection system on Nov 29, and we applied a 10-year ban to 9 players based on the results. However, during the following review, we noticed an issue with the system that led to it being unable to properly detect cheats. We will immediately unban the players who were mistakenly banned and will later provide compensation. We are terribly sorry for the harm we caused to their gaming experience and honor.
It has always been our goal to provide players with a just and fair gaming experience. That is why we wish to crack down on cheaters. Our new detection system is able to monitor battles in real time and detect stat anomalies. Launching this new system is an important step in preventing more cheaters. This time's issue has however shown us that it isn't perfect, and we are terribly sorry for how this has affected the players that were mistakenly banned. We would also like to apologize to all players who continue to support our work to stop cheaters. But rest assured, we are resolved to crack down on cheaters and maintain a fair gaming environment. We will continue to iterate on the system and the protection of our servers and the game client.
Going forward, we will be even more prudent regarding anything that may affect the ability of our players to play the game. We will add more rounds of ban verifications to those already in place to prevent this from happening again. Oh, and thank you all so much for reporting any cheaters you encounter and for providing clues to find cheating software. This greatly helps us in our work of cracking down on cheaters.
