We've been quiet here for a hot minute, but not without reason. Everyone at Croteam has been super busy creating new adventures in the world of The Talos Principle 2. This led us to Road to Elysium, a three-part expansion coming later this month that will tell you new stories and challenge your puzzle-solving skills in new and unexpected ways.

Acclaimed puzzle game announces sprawling expansion, available soon

The Talos Principle 2 is one of the best. Created by Serious Sam 4 studio Croteam, The Talos Principle games are a slower paced and philosophically focused deviation from tradition by a team best known for frenetic FPS design. Both the 2014 debut and 2023 sequel showed that Croteam was more than up to the task of shifting genres, with The Talos Principle 2 gaining a place alongside modern puzzle classics like The Witness, Portal and Portal 2, Islands of Insight, and Return of the Obra Dinn. Now, players who are looking for more of The Talos Principle 2 are in luck: a brand new expansion called Road to Elysium has just been announced, and it's coming out very soon.

Events are growing mysterious around The Talos Principle 2. More mysterious than usual, anyway, as it is a game with enigmas at its heart. A flurry of cryptic activity on various social media channels related to the game suggests some sort of major announcement, possibly for an expansion, is in the works...

Hotfix 1.1.1 Changelog

Fixed the issue where NVidia DLSS Frame Generation was not stable on certain drivers. There are no driver restrictions on using it anymore, however, it is recommended to upgrade to 551.76 or newer.
Fixed startup auto-detection resetting video options when the driver version is changed.
Fixed text ghosting on terminals when TSR or FSR are used.
Added "bLimitOptionsForVRAM" console variable: set it to 0 for overriding limitation of certain video options based on GPU's video memory size.
