September 29th Economy and Matchmaking Changes

Data Changes - September 29th, 2022

Economy
  • Adjusted the bot rewards to be more in line with the rewards when facing a player.
Matchmaking
  • Updated matchmaking queue times for early ranks to allow faster matchmaking. Higher rank players may see a benefit from this with faster queue times. We'll be monitoring this to see if there is any unexpected impact.

New Changes
  • Minor card art update
  • Removed puzzles (Riding with Eolis, Minmaxer's Challenge, Minmaxer's Coup, and Navy Seagull's Recruiting Hall) due to card balance changes rendering them impossible
  • Updated the card “There is No Safe Word” to “No Smoke And Mirrors” along with new art
Fixed Bugs
  • Account sign-in and linking
    • Fixed some crashes around creating a new account or registering a full account
    • Updated some error messaging to be clear

  • General stability and enhancements
    • Fixed a bug that would prevent turns from ending when removing abilities from the graveyard
    • Fixed a rare bug that would leave the game hanging on startup
    • Fixed a bug where some UI panels would disappear after getting disconnected
  • Improved logo legibility on some loading screens

    • Removed the following puzzles due to balance concerns from affected card balance changes:
    • Navy Seagul’s Recruiting Hall”
    • Riding with Eolis”
    • Minmaxer’s Challenge”
    • Minmaxer’s Coup”
    • Updated the “Alpha Deadly” puzzle due to balance concerns from affected card balance changes

    • Improved user experience for creating new accounts
    • Improved user experience for logging in to existing accounts
    • Removed confusing questionnaire when creating new accounts
    • Tutorial battle can now be skipped
    • iOS players can now delete their accounts in the profile details screen
    • Fixed a bug where linking a login method prevented linking of other login methods until game restart
    • Long term GUEST accounts will be asked to create an account on login

  • Fixed a crash when exiting the game on Steam
  • Fixed a scene stack bug when opening packs from the collection screen and then pressing the back button
  • Fixed a bug with account sign-up not showing email/password error messages on some screen sizes
  • Fixed a bug with support emails incorrectly inserting extra characters
  • Fixed a bug with erratic scrolling when opening a filter box on the collection and deck edit screens
  • Fixed a bug with the “Ahaha” emote using the incorrect asset
  • Fixed a bug on web builds that would restart background music from the beginning when browser tab was unfocused
  • Fixed a bug on web builds that showed an error popup whenever the window was resized or going full screen
  • Fixed a bug that would lock the match when a player had to discard a number of cards but had less than that number of cards in their hand
  • Fixed a bug where cards with longer detail text like Victorious Podium were cut off
  • Fixed a bug where the GG button hint placement was clipped off by the screen
  • Fixed a bug involving missing visuals in the battle history when actions targeted a deck or graveyard
  • Fixed a bug in which card pack purchases were rendered as invisible in some circumstances
  • Fixed a bug where the store screen would freeze after buying two boards in a row
  • Fixed an issue on web, where the game would not load automatically. Added a new loading indicator for web.
