#29 Alaskan Truck Simulator DevLog

Hi!

It is time to show you traffic. It includes elements such as driving on roads, intersections, traffic lights, and much more. We’ll surely show you more of that in future devlogs!

On the first footage, you can see an intersection with traffic lights. The traffic jams can also happen in Alaska!

On this one, the same intersection but from inside the truck.

The last one presents joining the traffic from the subordinated road.

We will also take the opportunity to say something about the game from our colleagues  Would you ever thought to throw it all away, and set off to unknown on your own two wheels? Check the American Motorcycle Simulator and prepare for the big adventure on legendary Route 66!

That’s all for today. See you next week!

Hello, truckers!

Like every Friday, we’re back with new informations about our work progress.

This week, we’ve focused again on making vehicle models, that you’ll have the opportunity to see on the road to make it a little bit less monotonous.

As you can see below, for some citizens of Alaska, their love for classics is more important than functionality and reliability.

But also the amount of heavy vehicles isn’t low.

Would you want to see some specific models of cars on the roads of Alaska? Let us know, we'd be happy to look at your ideas, and we'll definitely pick something :)

Stay safe!

Hello,

Today, we have for you a new portion of the gameplay elements! This time, parts of the truck’s interior. Except the classic keybindings, we’ve implemented an ability of direct interaction with objects.

On the first footage, you can see a functional sun visor, that’ll help in seeing the road during strong sunlight.

On the next one, wipers ;)

The last footage presents the use of a truck’s bed, that we can sleep in during long trips.

That’s all for today. See you next week!

Hello everyone!

In the last week, you could see another truck mechanics. This week, we would like to show you yet another truck!

The inside of the truck is a very important place for every trucker. We hope that you’ll spend a lot of time in this place too ;) That is why we have a very important question: what kind of decorations would you like to see inside your own vehicle? We will gladly listen to your ideas.

In the end: a sneak peek. Manoeuvre of passing on the narrow road of two heavy vehicles. It can be difficult, do you think you would do it?

Have a nice weekend, and see you next week!

Hi,

Two weeks ago, we showed you some of the gameplay mechanics. We noticed that many of you were paying attention to individual mechanics, so we decided that every second week we will present more details about each of them.

This week we want to show you how the suspension and differential lock mechanism works.

The next one shows how, due to the differential, the loss of adhesion of one wheel to the ground can make it impossible to drive into an obstacle.

Luckily, the differential lock allows us to solve that problem and beat those difficulties.

That’s all for today. See you next week!
