If there's one thing that accompanies a drive perfectly, it's a briliant soundtrack. That's why we teamed up with TruckStopRadio who provide the tunes when you're playing Alaskan Road Truckers.

From 17:00 GMT on the 15th of December for one week, we're proud to announce that we're going one step further. Welcome to...

We're taking over the airwaves! All week long Alaskan Road Truckers players will be in charge of TruckStopRadio, making song requests, asking for shoutouts - the lot.

So if you've ever wanted to hear a particular song in-game, or have a family member, friend, or pet who deserves getting name-checked live on radio - you'll be able to do so all week!

Here's how you can take part:

• Head over to the TruckStopRadio website
• Press the request button
  
• Enter your details and choose your request type
  
• Submit
  
• And listen!

Between 17:00 BST on the 15th of December and the 22nd of December TruckStopRadio will be running Alaskan Road Tunes. In addition to requests and shoutouts, they'll also be running giveaways both live on radio and over on their Discord. Make sure you're signed up to their Discord to get the latest info!

We’ve got a gigantic truckload of updates for you today. Alaskan Road Truckers has its first full expansion filled with challenges, new locations, and much more. What’s better is that it’s free and comes along with a big update for the main game too.

Here’s the lowdown on the Ice Roads Expansion for Alaskan Road Truckers:

One of the core things we wanted to focus on in Alaskan Road Truckers is that feeling of teetering on the edge between success and disaster. That’s why our game has features like hunger, temperature, and more to make the world immersive and put you in the boots of an Alaskan trucker.

Our new expansion, Ice Roads, cranks everything up a notch. In it you’ll find a whole new area to explore that adds a ton of new roads and routes to the game, all focused around the coldest of conditions.


If you’ve been looking for a new challenge, if you’ve been looking to drive tougher, narrower, more dangerous roads, or if you just love snow and ice - the Ice Roads Expansion should give you everything you’re looking for.

[h2]Updates and Bug Fixes[/h2]

Alongside both the Ice Roads Expansion and Trucking Hell DLC, we’ve also been hard at work updating the game and working on issues that may affect the player experience.

So even if you don’t head to the new region or pick up any skulls for your truck, you’ll still be able to enjoy a smoother and better time in Alaskan Road Truckers.

Here’s the update notes:

• Optional support for DirectX 12 (add -dx12 to the launch parameters in Steam. May cause some stuttering until shaders finish compiling.)

• New option to disable rearview mirror rendering
  
• Vastly shortened loading times upon death

We've been busy readying ourselves for our next big update, you won't have long to wait until there's a ton of new stuff, fixes, and changes coming to Alaskan Road Truckers.

We're also putting together the final touches on our next bit of cosmetic DLC, which'll give you everything you need to let the world know you're the toughest and roughest trucker out there on the wild Alaskan roads.

[h2]Take Part in our Screenshot Contest![/h2]

That's right, we're asking you - our wonderful truckers - to take screenshots in Alaskan Road Truckers in three different categories.

The best screenshots will be rewarded with the next paid DLC for free and we'll also make a gallery to show off some of the beautiful pictures you take.

We'll be running this screenshot contest until the 14th of December, 2023, and you can submit your screenshots here, on social media, or on our Discord.

Only a few rules to abide by, here's what you need to know:

• To be eligible, all screenshots must be submitted between 17:00 GMT on 07/12/2023 and 12:00 GMT on 14/12/2023
  
• Disable the in-game HUD in the options when taking your screenshots
  
• Maximum 5 entries per person

We're looking for screenshots in the following three categories: Winter, Truck Shot, and Nature. Winners will be announced on the 14th.
