Winter Nexus - EVE's holiday season

Festive Capsuleers,

The holiday season is coming to EVE Online, so it's time to get together, and keep your weapons warm in the coming storm. Introducing the Winter Nexus, this year's furious fusion of festivities include the travelling winter-themed Volatile Ice Storms which feature Wightstorm sites, plus the 13 Days of Nexus login event, Chilling Spree, Yoiul Festival-themed Abyssal Proving Grounds, and - if you can believe it - even more, until 5 January!
Volatile Ice Storms
Exclusive to the Winter Nexus holiday season, Volatile Ice Storms will appear and travel between systems in High, Low, and Null Security space, bringing specific environmental effects and content. With this seasonal weather come the Wightstorm combat sites, hacking sites, and ice mining sites.

Rewards include valuable Overseers' Effects, hundreds of festive ship SKINs, limited-time Cerebral Accelerators, rare faction modules, and blueprints for the new Rapture pirate implant set.

The Wightstorm Fleet has been drawn from the vast reserves of Sansha's Nation to take advantage of the opportunity presented by the appearance of Metaliminal Volatile Ice Storms across New Eden, and the strength of these fleets will depend on which part of space they are encountered in.
13 Days of Nexus
From 11:00 UTC on 10 December to 11:00 UTC on 5 January, you can log in to EVE Online daily and get free rewards as part of the 13 Days of Nexus event!

Rewards for Alpha pilots include many of the gorgeous Aurora Universalis ship SKINs, Ice Storm Filaments, Quafe Zero, 80,000 Skill Points, fireworks and snowball crates, plus Stormchaser character apparel. Omega pilots get all of the Alpha rewards plus more Aurora Universalis SKINs, a whopping 250,000 Skill Points, a Cerebral Accelerator, more Filaments, and more Stormchaser apparel!

Remember, you must log in on at least 13 days of the event to claim all the rewards, but those days need not be consecutive.
Yoiul Festival YC122 - Daily Challenges
There's a lot going on in the Winter Nexus and you'll be able to complete daily seasonal challenges as part of the Yoiul Festival for even more Aurora Universalis SKINs and Cerebral Accelerators. Available from 11:00 UTC on 10 December until 11:00 UTC on 5 January, each daily challenge you complete will earn you points towards more rewards!
Chilling Spree, Trinkets, and Yoiul Clones
The Chilling Spree returns this year with a mischievous twist. From 12 to 24 December, downtime to downtime, you will receive daily challenges involving the lobbing of snowballs at various NPCs. The reward for completing each day's challenge will be a unique Trinket that is only available for that day, so make sure you do not miss out!

The Trinkets are connected to Yoiul Clones, who are based on old spacer tales and superstitions of clone blanks coming to life and wreaking havoc aboard ships. InterBus, the largest passenger transport service in New Eden, has issued a series of animated safety displays featuring these Yoiul Clones warning passengers and crew alike against hazards, carelessness, and waste.

Also as part of the Chilling Spree, you will be able to get 5,000 Skill Points a day for hitting other Capsuleers with snowballs between 10 December and 5 January, downtime to downtime. Don't forget to log in daily, since you'll be getting snowballs as part of the 13 Days of Nexus login event!
Ice Storm Filaments
Since the Volatile Ice Storms will be travelling between systems in known space across New Eden, there will also be special Ice Storm Filaments that will transport Capsuleers directly to systems which are being affected by the storms! You can get Ice Storm Filaments from the 13 Days of Nexus daily login event, and also as drops from the Volatile Ice Storm sites.
Abyssal Proving Grounds
There will also be two special holiday-themed Abyssal Proving Grounds events happening during the Winter Nexus. The first event will be a team free-for-all where four teams of two Capsuleers will do combat in Tech 1 Destroyers from 18 - 22 December. The second event will feature a 3v3 format with T1 Frigates running from 1 - 5 January.
New Yoiul Star SKINs
The Yoiul Star SKIN also makes a return this winter and is extended to the Brutix, Buzzard, Deimos, Hel, Minokawa, Providence, Retribution, and Typhoon hulls. Light your lucky star and grab this SKIN for your fleet, and watch the charge on the SKIN grow into a star once more on 25 December!
