Nevergrind Online Looks Promising for June Release!

State of the Game


Nevergrind Online is in good shape for a June release! We have been working hard since July 2020 when our alpha phase started! Thanks to the hundreds of eager testers that have helped NGO become what it is, today! There have been countless enhancements, suggestions, and bugs that have been resolved thanks to their stalwart efforts!

Here's a brief milestone overview of features that have been enhanced or completed since the alpha began:

✅Single player mode completed.
✅Added a heroic mode to challenge full parties of adventurers.
✅Completed writing the lore for all missions.
✅Sprinkled boss encounters throughout the story mode.
✅Mission quest mobs now have specific drop types.
✅Added a victory screen and King reward to the game.
✅Optimized all images to a very efficient image format.
✅Finished the tavern tips and loading screen tips.
✅Finalized the sound effects.
✅Completed the advanced statistics tab on the character sheet.
✅Added support for 4k monitors.
✅Added a patch history tool within the game.
✅Added a call-to-action prompt that guides the user to certain actions throughout the game.

✅12 playable races.
✅14 playable classes.
✅Enabled artflow.ai avatars for future unlimited avatar possibilities.
✅Support for 16 avatars per race and 64 avatars for humans.

[h2]Town [/h2]
✅Fully animated town including alternate artwork for four times of day, morning, afternoon, evening, and night.
✅Guild functionality completed.
✅Tavern functionality completed.
✅Apothecary functionality completed.
✅Blacksmith functionality completed.
✅Academy functionality completed.
✅Merchant functionality completed.
✅Bank functionality completed.

✅Completed procedural map generation for 14 different zones.
✅Eliminated party follower map position bugs.
✅Fixed graphical glitches while navigating through dungeons.

[h2]Combat[/h2]
✅Finished class-based adjustments of all skills.
✅Some weapons now have proc effects.
✅Mobs now have a secondary attack cycle that enables them to use certain special skills in addition to their main attack cycle based on their class.
✅Added several new monster champion traits.
✅Added fully integrated DPS meters in the game.

[h2]Itemization[/h2]
✅Unique items have been completed.
✅Set items and their according bonuses have been completed.
✅Chests can now drop potions and scrolls.

What's Left?

At this point, I am focused on optimizations, enhancements, adjustments, and other minor features. The game is very playable and I am doing everything possible to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience for groups of adventurers at launch! Wishlist the game and I'll see you in June!
