Our 17th Fighting Fantasy gamebook has sailed into the Fighting Fantasy Classics library! The 66th book in the series, written by Ian Livingstone in 2017, is an instant classic as it transports you to some famous locations in Allansia where you may bump into a few familiar faces from FF lore.

This is a double celebration for us as we celebrate the start of Melbourne International Games Week. It's going to be a busy week away from the glare of our monitors, where we'll mingle with our games industry peers and celebrate the awesome games that have been created by Australian developers. Steam are hosting a special MIGW landing page containing a host of Victorian-made games, many of them on sale for the week, including all of our previous FF Classics DLC releases.

Tin Man Games also have a whole host of our games on sale, which coincides with Steam's Turn-Based RPG Fest too! Check them all out.

Ian Livingstone's Armies of Death completes the Deathtrap Dungeon trilogy

40 years ago an iconic book cover arrived on book shelves in the UK. Deathtrap Dungeon was a revelation and captivated young minds around the country. It was so successful it spawned two sequels, both written by Sir Ian Livingstone, called Trial of Champions and Armies of Death.

Today sees the release of the third book in that trilogy, and completes the epic Allansian adventure!

Can YOU defeat the nightmare army of the undead? ːwarlockskeletonː

Agglax the Shadow Demon is amassing an army of undead warriors to conquer Allansia.

Setting off from Fang with over two hundred veteran fighters, YOU journey east to meet the enemy. But the Shadow Demon is not of this world and special powers are needed to destroy him. The longer you spend searching for these powers the stronger he will be.

Grab all three of the trilogy now in the Fighting Fantasy Classics library.

MAY YOUR STAMINA NEVER FAIL!

After "Armies of Death", get ready to sail into "The Port of Peril"!

Armies of Death
will be available next week in the FFC library, but we're not taking an arrow to the knee just yet, with the announcement that Ian Livingstone's more recent Allansian adventure, The Port of Peril, will be hot on its heels a few weeks later!

The Tin Minions are also busy working on another three Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, chosen from the vast range of the original FF collection. We're also signing licenses for more titles too, with some highly requested titles from the series planned for the future development. Not only that, but we have plans for a verified Steam Deck update. You can run FFC on the deck already, but there's a few things we need to incorporate to get the Steam green tick approval.

In other FF news, Fighting Fantasy Fest 5 is just around the corner, being held at the University of West London, in the UK! Tickets are still available - head over to FightingFantasy.com for more info.

The Art of Concept Sketches

For some of our Fighting Fantasy digital adaptations we need to commission new artwork. For Armies of Death we turned to long-time Tin Man Games collaborator, Joshua Wright, who has worked on a number of our games including the Gamebook Adventures series, Table of Tales: The Crooked Crown and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries.

Josh's unique artistic flair is a perfect match for the world of fantasy illustration, where his talent truly shines. His knack for creating eerie, monstrous designs brings to life the terrifying creatures you will encounter and battle in Allansia. We're thrilled to take you behind the scenes and showcase some of Josh's early pencil sketches for Armies of Death. These sketches provide a glimpse into the evolution of his creative process, from initial concepts to the stunning final versions!

Ian Livingstone's Armies of Death will be joining the Fighting Fantasy Classics library very soon!
