Morning Steam folks!

Steam playtest will go live Sat morning (time to be announced exactly) but we have already begun activating groups of testers.

[h3]Here are the top 5 things you should probably know about Exfil[/h3]

1. First and foremost Exfil is a game meant to be played with a groups of gamers locally hosted. We do put up some community servers to bring everyone together for testing but ultimately Exfil is a sandbox Milsim in which players are going to write their own stories. This is Chapter 1

2. Exfil the game is made by two developers. We each wear about 40 different hats including our day to day jobs. Set your expectations accordingly! We do our best and improvements take time.

3. Exfil is a tactical shooter. It doesn't hold your hand or have flashing bells and lights to lead you to the next objective. To be properly prepared everyone should watch the following video made by our community members B-wild and his merry misfits

4. Exfil is alive and well today in our discord. We meet up there, play games together and even develop in unreal engine together. Anyone is welcome to the neighborhood, Don't be shy!

5. Exfil is community driven. We are in constant daily contact with our community and actively close their bugs and make improvements based on feedback. We check in with our communities and engage them in regular feedback and playtest sessions. It takes a community to build an indie game!

Steam playtest is a chance for you to engage the product and the developers and tell us how you would like to see Exfil evolve.

We have recently opened our steam play test sign up and are encouraging everyone to sign up now to be ready for coming play tests over the next couple of months.

We are targeting March 9th as our first open test day.

The team had a glorious break in the month of January but we have been back in the trenches since the beginning of February. Lot’s of work to talk about, news and events coming up.

Asset update
Our first series of weapons is hot off the presses. Still working on some final tweaks but we wanted to keep the community in the loop as we get ready to introduce the new assets

Feature Update

While its hard to be exhaustive here is a quick run down of some the changes and features that have made it into the game in the past couple weeks.

• Added event log that can be viewed after the round in the lobby
  
• Added Test bindings for Gamepad / Deck controls
  
• Swapped for a new bigger drone that is easier to hit
  
• Updated detailing on all maps
  
• Cap FPS in the Lobby

Merry Christmas for those of you who celebrate and happy holidays or otherwise for those of you who don't!

On behalf of myself,Roberto and the rest of our support team we just wanted to let you all know how thankful we are to have you here. It's been an absolute pleasure these past few months in particular having this great and enthusiastic community gather around the EXFIL project.

For those that haven't been aware our wishlist has absolutely exploded over the last week or so. A combination of community work and a very nice article have really helped us take the first big steps in to the public view.

We are excited for 2024 and will be taking a short break before getting back to business for 2024. Please standby for updates coming January and some exciting test events to come as well!

We would hate to leave you without at least a little teaser.. so some eye candy you can expect to hit the game in 2024 is starting to come out of the pipe and just wanted to give you a preview here.
