Introducing 12 new tournaments - Polysseum in October

Polysseum is The Battle of Polytopia competitive tournament series open for everyone to train their skill and fight for the win!

Last month, we saw overwhelming support from the community, with tournaments filling up within a few minutes. Since Polysseum is becoming increasingly popular among players, we are adding more tournaments and a few more changes*.

New tournaments
We are keeping existing tournaments and adding 4 more weekly to accommodate early risers in Europe and players from East Asia and Australia.
  • Tuesday 11:00 UTC+2 / 20:00 UTC+11
  • Thursday 11:00 UTC+2 / 20:00 UTC+11
  • Saturday 11:00 UTC+2 / 20:00 UTC+11
  • Sunday 11:00 UTC+2 / 20:00 UTC+11

So the whole schedule will look like this (UTC time):
More players
We had, on average, 22 players on the waiting list last month. That's why we are increasing the number of participants per tournament from 16 to 32.

Map changes
  • Map size. Since we want Polysseum to be available for more players without making it run much longer, we are changing the map size from Small to Tiny. Now, the encounter with your opponent will happen earlier in the game.
  • Map type. To bring more variety, we will change map type every week, starting with Lakes Continents, then switching to Drylands and finally Archipelago.

While we introduce changes, other things will stay the same
  • Tournaments will be 1v1 with €10 prize pool.
  • 7 best tournament results will count towards the leaderboard.
  • The top 16 players from the leaderboard will qualify for the monthly tournament hosted on October 28th (start time TBD).

Get a Chance to Pick Up Some Rare Quetzali Drip!

We have come across some very unique bags from the Quetzali artisans. These are vintage items that can rarely be found on the Square, and they've been made specially for us humans to enjoy! You probably couldn't fit an ostrich in them, but don't worry, there's plenty of room for corn. :)

Only a limited number of these exist, so hurry to get yours at http://shop.midjiwan.com.
