Release Notes for 2.15.1

In this release we focused on fixing bugs that were found during beta and early release of the Cymanti Rework build.

  • Fixed mantis head in chipmunk mode
  • Properly display perfection difficulty bonus % in game setup ui
  • Aquarion can no longer fertilize tiles with crops on them already (which caused crops to dissapear)
  • Updated Cymanti tribe preview
  • Moth eggs can no longer swim (preventing them to be pushed into water)
  • Aquarion can no longer drain tiles, and others can’t dash drain
  • Other tribes can now see how many turns before larva turns to moth
  • Larvas can now grow into moths if mind-bent by another tribe
  • Moths now properly spawn eggs instead of daggers if mind bent
  • Can not swarm swarmed units
  • Allow breaking ice under units if they can stand on the tile without ice (flying units, tiles with algae or bridge)
  • Changed Cymanti explorer to Ciru bug
  • Make sure double attack cannot be used after capturing a city or examining a ruin
  • End result screen now show correct number of technologies researched
  • Updated localization
  • Explorer pathfinding now includes mountains and increased sight range when evaluating which tile to move towards

It's Time for the Cymanti Rework!

[p][/p][p]Hey Polytopians![/p][p][/p][p]We've released a massive rework for the Cymanti, and if you want a detailed explanation for why we made the changes we made, head on over to our blog by clicking this link![/p][p][/p][p]But, in case you don't want to go to a whole different site, here's the changelog.[/p][p][/p][p]Update 2.15.0.15024 - Cymanti Rework[/p][p] [/p][p]Naval changes [/p][p]– Cymanti explorer can now move on water like other tribes [/p][p]– Moved around naval techs to replicate Path of the Ocean changes [/p][p]– Algae is now a tile effect instead of an improvement, other improvements can be built on top of it. Spawns with a fruit on top [/p][p]– Algae does not cripple movement for naval units (but still for land units) [/p][p]– Clathrus is now a land building and grows from spores instead of algae. It is poisonous, but no longer creates networks (Mycelium can now be built on Algae instead) [/p][p]– Raychi is split into two units; Boomchi that explodes to create algae, and a slightly adjusted Raychi [/p][p]– Boomchi get “amphibious” ability so they can move on land [/p][p]– ’Floating Island’ unit in navigation, spawns algae + area damage [/p][p][/p][p]Other changes [/p][p]– ’Mantis’ replaces Swordsman, same stats but with ‘creep’ ability [/p][p]– Fungi is limited to level 2 – ’Microbes’ ability in ‘Recycling’ allows Fungi to grow 1 additional level [/p][p]– Growing units (centipede head, dragons, larva etc.) inherit the damage from their previous state [/p][p]– ’Kiton’ get ‘creep’ [/p][p]– Creep no longer overcomes mountain movement penalty [/p][p]– Phychi get a “double attack” ability [/p][p]– Poison defense debuff increased to 50% but defense bonuses are intact [/p][p]– Poison now slow down enemy units [/p][p]– Explode units can explode even after attacking [/p][p]– Doomux cannot become veteran [/p][p]– Doomux attack down to 3.5 [/p][p][/p][p]Diplomacy changes [/p][p]– Cloaks replaced by Moths, they can fly but are not invisible. When they infiltrate a city they poison defenses and lay Eggs [/p][p]– Eggs can’t move but can explode, and if you wait 1 tur,n they will hatch into Larva that are similar to Daggers [/p][p]– After 3 turns, Larva will turn into Moths, making the circle complete [/p][p][/p][p]Shaman changes [/p][p]– ‘Boost’-ability replaced by ‘Swarm’ that only buffs movement [/p][p]– Movement buff is retained until the unit gets attacked [/p][p]– ’Shaman moved to ‘meditation’ so it is easier to replace [/p][p]– ’Mountain temple’ moved to ‘Philosophy’ [/p][p]– ‘Pacifist’ task is replaced by ‘Converter’ (convert 3 enemies to build ‘Church of Converts’ monument) [/p][p][/p][p]Non-Cymanti adjustments [/p][p]– Improved Explorer movement [/p][p]– Score penalty for starving cities [/p][p]– Adjusted look of UI[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Ghostrunner 2, one of the few games I've scored 9/10, is currently free

Night City is one of the greatest virtual worlds ever created. It perfectly encapsulates the juxtaposition of advanced, world-changing technology and sheer, unadulterated poverty. Our neon-tinted cyberpunk dreams often forget about the grit and grime that keeps these neo-dystopian metropolises going: for the rich to stay rich, the poor have to stay poor. But Cyberpunk 2077 is just one evolution of an age-old concept: One More Level's Ghostrunner 2 is another. Trading out open-world exploration for fast-paced, high-octane hacking and slashing while maintaining that sense of seediness, it's an absolute must-play if you liked CD Projekt Red's troubled masterpiece - and it's free right now.
