A new update is available for testing on the beta branch called "nextupdatetesting".
Change Log:
Framework Update
- Updated to Monogame 3.8.3
Note: In reality this did nothing for the game. Other companies would refer to this as "Improving The Stability of the game".
Custom Puzzles
- The custom puzzle slots increased from 4 to 10
- Each Custom Puzzle has a "Change Image" button under the preview image that allows loading in a new image.
Main Menu
- The Puzzle Preview and Puzzle Page selectors will now have a partial tint when the mouse is hovering on the image or icon. This will hopefully make it clearer that you can click on the Puzzle Previews or Page Selectors.
Option Menu
- Option menu has been split into three tabs (Puzzle Options, Backgrounds, Toggles/Hotkeys)
- Some UI elements increased in size since additional space is available now.
- Background section now has a green box around the selected background.
- Adding "Language" to settings file. Currently "English" and "German" are offered.
- The options already included a preview image divided into the number of pieces you selected under Puzzle Size. The preview image was always locked to show Puzzle #1 (Seagull Puzzle). It now shows whatever puzzle you had selected last.
Font Changes
- Monogame framework has not fixed font kernels. (Spacing in fonts)
- Moved font rendering to FontStashSharp.MonoGame library to fix the spacing between words.
Steam Cloud
- The Settings file is now syncing to Steam Cloud.
- The Settings file is now located in the SavesDir folder.
- Only the Settings file in this folder will sync to Steam Cloud. Adding other files into this folder will do nothing.
- A new settings file will be generated when first opening this update. This update will not attempt to migrate or convert the old data.
- The game will recreate the default setting file if you somehow delete it or corrupt it.
- Individual "in progress" puzzle saves are currently
not in Steam Cloud.
Hotkeys
- Keyboard H key will turn on "Highlight Edges"
- Keyboard V key will turn on "View Image"
- Hot Keys are now listed in the Options menu.
