6/7/19 Development Status Update - Randomized World Events

Hey guys!

Just wanted to stop by with a little more information on the randomized world event system.

Over the past few days, I've been working, tweaking, improving, and expanding this system. It went from being a few simple, 1-time events, to somewhere around 200 different possibilities and a huge variety at that. Originally, I was aiming for just 10 different events that could take place. Simple but effective. I decided to expand many of them to have several different outcomes or occurrences to be even more diversified and unique. An example of this would be the "Decayed Remains" event. Long story short, you come upon several bodies that look as if they have been there for a long time. There are 15 different outcomes to this single event. You might find some valuable loot, wolves looking to feed, the bodies could start growling at you and stand up and start shambling towards you, it could be a trap, etc. There is so much variety. Wandering merchants and blacksmiths, lost cargo, shady vagabonds, bad omens, sudden weather changes, the list goes on.

I was very excited about this addition to the game as it put my storytelling skills to the test even more than the quests and will definitely make things more interesting, especially while traveling on the world map. I really feel that this steps the game up and pushes it further in the right direction for what I'm going for. A true-to-heart, old-fashioned RPG.

The main story is now 100% my absolute priority.
