Lawless Lands,

Hey everyone!

As promised, this is a preview of the update change log for update 1.4.8 which is planned to be released in a few days! This update does a bit of everything. The game is nearing completion! Only a few more large updates to go!

Update 1.4.8 Change Log:

Bug Fixes:
-Made the Player Sprite Transparent for Intro again
-Fixed a Dialogue Issue with Venril
-Fixed some Torches appearing a Tile down than they should
-Fixed some Main Quests not being * starred in the Journal
-Fixed Godly Gift Part 2 Journal Typo
-Fixed some Tileset Issues
-Fixed a few general Dialogue Typos
-Fixed Warhounds having 1 less Aspect Point than they should
-Fixed Corban starting at Level 10 (He is the usual testing companion so it looks like I forgot to set him back)

Changes & Additions:
-Removed Early Access Warning from the Intro (We're almost out of EA, so it's not necessary anymore)
-Changed Intro Quote from being randomized and replaced it with one that better fits the theme
-Added 30 new Atmospheric Soundtracks (15 with 2 variants each)
-Added some new Steam Achievements
-Added "Death Before Dishonor" Triple Ending Side Quest
-Added "Haunting the Fields" 2 Part, Multiple Ending Side Quest
-Added "Laundry Duty" Side Quest (Can be obtained after completing some of the Main Quest)
-Added "Saving Grace" Side Quest (Can be obtained after completing some of the Main Quest)
-Added "Last in Line" Side Quest (Can be obtained after completing some of the Main Quest)
-Added "Next in Line" Side Quest (Can be obtained after completing some of the Main Quest)
-Added "Cold or Hungry" Side Quest (Can be obtained after completing some of the Main Quest)
-Added "Going Without" Side Quest (Can be obtained after completing some of the Main Quest)
-Added "Shackled" Side Quest (Can be obtained after completing some of the Main Quest)
-Added "Friends of Foes" Main Quest Segment
-Added "Friends of Foes P2" Main Quest Segment
-Added "Friends of Foes P3" Main Quest Segment (This quest has 3 different versions depending on previous choices and events - this quest segment is very long)
-Added "Friends of Foes P4" Main Quest Segment (This quest has 2 different versions depending on previous choices and events - this quest segment is long)
-Added a Transparent ON Function to the Intro to ensure Testing still goes smooth but also it will automatically make the Player Sprite Invisible
-Added extra guards to appear after helping Venril (like he mentioned but they never actually appeared before)
-Updated Venril's ending Dialogue Options
-Updated Reic's Latest Dialogue with more info for what's next
-Renamed many sections of the Main Quest
-Updated some Clues at the Infirmary
-Replaced Fresh Bread with Fresh Biscuits in the Intro (People were getting confused and eating the regular bread, therefore wasting it)
-Added Healing Powder Recipe to Plague Doctor Shops
-Added Plague Doctor to Galor: Market District
-Added Questgiver names to some of the recently added Quests that did not have them in the Journal
-Added Alternate Vulkold: Infirmary Area (Post-Quest)
-Added World Map Lore for Novolgrod Castle
-Added Ebonfeld Village Area

-Slightly changed some things in Vulkold
-Buffed Warhound Companion Base Stats
-Darkened Field Tilesets
-Mend Spell now uses Posture bonus instead of Power bonus
-Staffs and Wands that give Spells now have a much higher base Cost
-All ultimate Spells (Staffs only) have doubled Charge Cost (6 to 12)
-All base Spells on Staffs and Wands have Charge Cost increased (2 to 3)
-All mid-range Spells on Staffs have Charge Cost increased (4 to 6)
-Spells Cast in Combat now say "Cast" instead of "Used"
-Friendly Spells no longer can miss based on Target Magic Resistance (It was meant to act as if the spell was failing, now that has been properly added, it was messed up)
-Spells all can now fail (very low chance) some of the time but the higher the spell intensity means the higher chance (5% intervals)
-Scroll Success Chance is 80, 75, 70, Staff Success Chance is 85, 80, 75, and Spell Success Chance is now 95, 90, 85 (Spells are strongest and can basically be cast infinitely because of them using Spirit)
-Elixirs and Tonics now have more randomness to how they work (Before, they healed 10% + a base number, now it is 10% + x-y, so for example: 10% + 2-7 vigor, this makes all of them potentially weaker or stronger based on chance)
-Bandages now slightly lower Initiative while they are being used
-All Alchemist related Recipes have been renamed Formulas
-Added 18 new Lore Item Descriptions
-Added 5 new Rumors
-Added several new variations to Random World Map Events
-Added new Random World Map Event (Lost Patrol)
-Added more Decor to several Areas
-Changed some Text Word choices
-Added a few more NPC Character Sprites
-Added some new Sound Effects
-Greatly Modified and Expanded several Areas
-Added Captives throughout the Game (New activity)
-Added Monster Lairs across the World Map (New activity)
-Added Outlaw Hideouts across the World Map (New activity)
-Added the basic layout for Bounty Hunting (New Upcoming Activity)
-Added new Random World Map Event (Captive)
-Added "Liberator" unique Unlockable Title
-Added "Butcher" unique Unlockable Title

-Added several new unique Encounters

-Updated the handling of Crafting from the Menu (This is all internal so it shouldn't even be noticable but please let me know if you encounter any issues)
-Added simple Method to disable all Inventory/Character/Crafting/Equipment Access
-Added several new Easter Eggs
-Brightened Active Companion Outline Box in Menu (So it's more obvious)
-Added several new Persuasion and Intimidation Choices in various Dialogues
-Added illuminated Light Sources to Torches
-Added Ursula the Grizzly Bear Companion for the upcoming Grizzly Pet Pack DLC
